Question about Acer Aspire 3680 Laptop
First problem: My laptop gives off this whiny screeching noise, usually when I leave it on top of something or touch it in a certain spot, but it keeps changing that spot every time find that spot. The noise seems to be coming from the speakers. I recently asked a a computer expert, and he said it has to do something with the grounding wires or something and said I should take it to get it repaired. I wanted to ask if this is correct, if not then what should I do?
Second problem: I cannot get my bluetooth Headset to work at all on my laptop, I set the bluetooth for search, and went on my laptop to see if it detected or anything. I looked online for a solution, and they keep telling me to look in the bluetooth device thing, but I looked everywhere on the control panel, and failed in vain to find it. The bluetooth works fine on everything else, including my PS3. It's a Plantronics something something headset.
Third problem: After failing to get my bluetooth headset to work, I turned towards the built-in-mic on my laptop, but I still couldn't figure out how to get it to work, I checked to see if it's muted and set on default, but it still won't record my voice. Have any ideas?
Fourth problem: My laptop won't detect most of the USB devices I plug into it, including: Wireless Mouse, Flash drive, and my MP3 player, I downloaded this scanner thing to see if my USB drivers were up-to-date, and it said every single port wasn't. The devices 'have' worked before, so I see no reason for them to stop working now.
I am really frustrated with my Acer laptop, I would appreciate any help given, thanks in advance.
Problem 1. That's definately one for the shop/manufacturer to repair I'm afraid.
Problem 2. If you're using XP, service pack 2 includes it's own bluetooth support, but it's dismal. try this site to disable their drivers and then install your own. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/889814
If you're using Vista, same thing goes. Try this site: http://www.dev-toast.com/2007/01/05/uncrippling-bluetooth-in-vista-rtm/
Problem 3. How are you trying to record? Have you run the microphone configuration applet from control panel?
Problem 4. It's possible that you've created conflicts while fiddling with bluetooth ports. Did this problem arise around the same time as the bluetooth issues? Re-installing bluetooth drivers may solve this but if not I can help.
I'll try to help you further once you provide me with the extra info. Let me know which OS you're running too. In the meantime I hope this has been of some help.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
