After 4 months, water pump went bad

This is total bulls-ht that after 4 months of light usage (2 people in household), this machine would go bad.

My lg tromm front load washer smells

Try this, It's involved but it worked on my Kenmore HE4tDrain the machinePull the filter (have a sheet pan, wet vac and towels handy, there's a lot of water)Disconnect the drain boot from the pump and tubDisconnect the pump drain hose (waste)Disconnect the pump electricalWash everything (not pump motor) in a 25% bleach solutionReassemble.Put 1 gal boiling water, 1 gal hot water and 1/2 cup bleach in washer compartment. check for leaksWash entire compartment with the bleach water and spin the drum time to time for 15 minutesAdd TechnoFresh (which claims to loosen gunk) to the powdered soap dispenser, through a bunch of rag towels in and run the machine on the hottest cycle. This process works well until machine is stinky again (about 6 months depending on bleach usage)BTW "the leave door open trick" only helps the door gasket and does not address the constant reservoir of fermenting water in the bottom of the machine

My machine is a little more than 4 years old, the clothes just aren't getting clean. I first noticed this about 3 months ago. I have tried to fix it on my end, but I really think this is a problem with...

Everyone's level of what is dirty is different so I'll give a couple guesses here. Are these loads extra dirty and needing warm washing to help clean or even possibly a pre-soak to help the break down started? If so is the water actually warm? Check after it fills to see if it is mixing hot/cold water together, could be only filling with cold and reducing effective cleaning power. And even though there are sensors in some models to tell temperature of water, that doesn't mean its working :) Also some households 'cold' water is colder than average...what is your cold water temp? My prior Kenmore had an option to check temp and would add some warm with the cold to even it out.

Also, overfilling will reduce the ability to clean, maybe just have slowly over time increased amount going in (darn kids growing!)

Another possibility is grease/oil from the bearing has gotten into the casket and is polluting your water or perhaps residue from some other grimy wash that is persisting, but that doesn't sound likely since you didn't indicate that items are getting soiled, Unless you are noticing spots that weren't there when the clothes went in.

Which if you are noticing new spots...there could mold/grim in the coin trap just before the pump (it's full of water so have a towel handy if you decide to go poking in there) might need to be removed cleaned and reinstalled.

New Samsung Wasging Machine Model:- WD-J1255R/YNG not functioning

your drain pump seems to be obstructed. If water is still in the drum, no spinning will take place. Remove pump and check the impellar for obstruction and the 2 pipes connected to the pump. make sure they are clear by blowing into the 2 ends. If you are able to, it would help to test the pump before you put it back into the washing machine.

I have a DUET HT . I have been having "H" & "F" problems for the last 2 months and been turning off and unpluging to reset. This time i pushed Control On but when I hold to starty nothing happens.

"H" & "F" means no water is coming into the washer, check that your faucets are on, hoses & screens on hoses,if all this is working properly, it could be your water valve or if the washer has water inside and the pump is not pumping it out, for safety reasons the washer will not fill and you will get the codes f h or l d.

Washer machine not draining water

The GE serviceman repaired my machine approximately 40 minutes. I paid $189 for the issue to be resolved in 5 minutes. This is no exaggeration.

The serviceman arrived at 2:50pm and finished at 2:55pm. It took another 5 minutes for me to write the check and he was gone.

My recommendation is...
- Purchase the GE service plan prior to calling GE to repair the service. A 1-Year service plan is $40 and 2-Year is $75. It costs $99 just for the serviceman to come to your house.

- Fix the issue yourself. Of course, this only applies if you are handy. I am handy and I tried to fix the problem myself. I just couldn't figure out the location of the access panel.

Solution...
The access panel is on the front. This can be removed in less than 20 seconds. The notches on the access panel is in line with the edging of the washing machine door. To remove, slide in a flat object like a flat-head screwdriver. Wiggle up and down on each side until door comes loose. Lift up door and set aside.

The water pump is on the lower right in the front of the washing machine. If your wash machine has any water in it, you want to use a shop vac to empty it out. The serviceman used a clamp to stop the water from running down. A little water still came out but he used my shop vac to get it up. It was less than a cup full and I had a 1/2 tub of water. Afterwards, he stuck his fingers in the water pump and pulled out the item that was blocking the pump.

Guess what was blocking the pump? The item was my two-month old daughter's sock. He recommends using a washing bag.

Remember this solution is for GE 315 model that is a top load washer. This will most likely work with similar models. I knew my water pump was still working because it hummed during the rinse and spin cycles.

Good luck and I hope this saves you $189 or any other fees.

Washer keeps pausing

you may have something in your drain pump.
1) Remove the three screws in the bottom remove bottom panel.
2) Remove drain pump cover (have towels or pan to catch water that comes out)
3) Remove any debris from pump, check that the impeller is not damaged and can be moved freely.
4) reinstall drain pump cover and bottom panel
Let me know if it helps

Washer stops in middle of cycle,

Junk it! Cut you losses now. I had a Calypso for 6 years and went through 3 pumps, various circuit boards , a drive motor ,etc..... not to mention the down time of not having a washer in a 4 person household. We bought a Whirlpool Duet HT 9200. Clean , fresh laundry not all balled up anymore. Junk it. You'll thank me.

Possible your outlet filter is blocked. This requires cleaning depending on your usage. Clean this out and refit. Good luck. Plug off the wall first.
