Question about Sharp Aquos LC-46D62U 46 in. LCD HDTV
How do I repair the screen myself?
You can't repair cracked LCD screens, they can only be replaced. Unfortunately LCD screens cost more than the TV is worth. If you do happen to find a replacement screen, it's a pretty simple job (just a bunch of screws you have to remember where they go.) You can email me email@example.com if you need more detailed instructions.

I had one broken a few months ago. I got a couple quotes.. it was about $200 less then a brand new one. I'd just buy a new one.
For the new TV I'd pickup a screen protector for it. My son threw a toy at my TV the other day and I nearly had a heart attack from the flashbacks. Thank God I picked up one of these a few weeks earlier. It stopped it. LCD screens really break easily as you know. http://www.tv-armor.com
