Hello,

Have you checked the 15amp fuses which are located at the back of your Asko dryer ?

That is where I`d start. They are at the back as I said located next to where the power cord exit`s the unit. Look for 2 small round slotted caps ( these are the fuse holders/hubs ) either black or gray in color.

With a flat screwdriver fitted in the slot of the fuse hub, turn it a half turn counter clockwise an it should drop out...though it may need to be pulled out if it`s stuck in the holder part.

Replace with a 15amp "slow blow" ( the only difference is the slow blow are filled with sand and aren`t transparent glass tubes but rather gray or white in color ) if the fuse is blown.

Hope that is helpful. If so please rate the solution accordingly, if not let me know what you find or if you require further assitance.

Thank`s for visiting fixya today and good luck.

T700 asko dryer runs if you hold the start button but cuts off when you let the button go, any suggestions?

Hello,

Welcome to FixYa.

Based on your description I`d direct you to first check the hi-temp cut out at the back...if you haven`t already.

It will look like this on the Asko dryers...

7995fe6.jpg

If you push this to reset and the unit works, great. I would keep an eye on it though since the hi-limit typically trips for a reason such as a plugged lint filter, plugged vent ot partially plugged or the heater itself is plugged up with lint.

Take the lint filter and clean it under some warm water and soap as they do become plugged with wax over time due to fabric softener and static sheets...when present/used regularly

If it doesn`t run after-wards or it`s not tripped, you`ll need to investigate for a faulty heater element. This is quite involved, so we`ll cross that bridge when you get there...if necessary.

Keep me posted on your progress or what you find and I'll help in whatever manner I can. Good luck.

Regards,

Macmarkus :)

If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heating the most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glows sometimes it is still not working properly.

if you dryer is gas check out this gas no heat tip....

If you have an electric dryer, you can have many different things that can go wrong causing the dryer not to heat.

MOD T700 ASKO DRYER REPLACED DRUM ROLLERS PUT BACK TOGETHER WILL NOT TURN ON

When I took the back off my Asko to clean it out I had to lay it on its face to get the drum to line up again with the back - in the doing this a wire pulled off its setting. Did not figure this out until I took the top off the dryer and found the loose wire. I have no idea if this is your problem but it was very frustrating. There is also a black reset button on the back of the dryer that you might try.
