Question about SanDisk Sansa e260 MP3 Player

Not able to put music on

I've had my Sansa player for almost a year now and have not had any trouble with putting music on it. Recently, however, I have found I cannot do this anymore. It connects to my computer and my computer reads it. When I go to its folder, it shows folders for Videos, Photos, Record, and tmp but no Music. I have its USB mode set on MSC, so I don't think that is the problem. The songs are still on my Sansa, as well. I tried installing the latest firmware update, but I kept getting an error message on it. Is there something I can do to fix this or should I get a new one?

Hmmm...that seemed to work. Is there anyway I could get it to work on MSC, though? I prefer using that method to transfer songs to it.

No it only design to work with windows media player on MTP mode..When you have it on MSC it will recognize your device as a flash drive instead of Portable device..Hope this helps

let your battery run out by leaving you mp3 player play as long as it can....then open up the back of the mp3 player take out the battery and put the battery a freezer for an out or 2 then let it sit out for a day then put it back in the sansa and recharge it and it should either fix it or help add more life span to the charge

Cannot get music on or off of MP3 player.

The 260 you can remove the screws on back cover and remove the battery and replace to reset, not sure on the 250, you might also want to go their website and download the latest firmware updates.

copy your music to your music file in my computer. Select all music that you want to copy to your device and copy to e: drive. This should solve your problem.

Formated the SanDisk Sansa E280

You dragged & dropped files in recovery mode? Recovery mode is only for re-installing the firmware or formatting the device if it is unresponsive. If you are wanting to drag and drop files onto the device, the music needs to be put into the Music folder on the device. If you do not see the Music folder, you will need to enable hidden files and folders on your PC. Best of Luck. p.s. - you can add to this question this doesnt work.

Hey to get music onto the Sansa e250R you have to plug the Sansa into the computer. Next go to mycomputer. Then onen ethier sansa or Removable Disk(F:). Then take the songs you want and drag them on to the white space under photos and vidos and all that other files. DO NOT PUT IT IN A FILE.
