My dash cigarette lighter works, but I pluged in a handheld cb radio walkie-talkie and it burned up my batterys? what could be my problem here?

We need to know what the handheld radio make and model is and we need to know what the same info is on the charger.. There are chargers that reduce the car voltage from 12 to 9, 6 4 etc, even if it fit the jack on the radio it can put the wrong voltage in or it can have different polarity.

I have a Uniden UHF CB Handheld Model # UH076SX-NB. Have had it for 3 years and only used a dozen times. Now I can receive but unable to transmit. Any solutions please?

How do you know that the radio does not transmit? The batteries need to be fully charged, or new to transmit. The radio is old, and the cost to repair it may be close to how much a new CB radio is.

Good luck.

Wire broke broad

sometimes this works, take the wire holding it at the broken end , stretch it out not to tight but tight enogh to see where it would connect by moving it around the inside and looking for a wr spot thats missing a wire.If you can't find it you will have to take it to someone that knows where it goes.Contact friends and see if they can do it.other than that you will have to get it to a tech.

I have a midland 75-822 micro mobile-portable cb in my van. a lot of static and i was wondering how to correct it. thank you kindly.

your problem has many fixes depending on how you use your radio, but first think of were you are transmitting from a van or car is literally a big metal box so the squelch minimum will increase a bit if your antenna is inside the van. but if you use/get the UHF-DC adapter for this radio it will alow you to mount a exturnal antenna on the outside of the van, the other possibility is a bad placement of the antenna try changing its location. however if the noise increases as you excelarate then you might need a in line DC Noise Filter.

KC27 Maxon CB need 10 batterys rechargables 1.2 v for 12v total, use the most amperes or miliamperes possible, if you have a charger case or 27-CRDL Cradle for 27-KC you can use 13.8v regulated 5 amps. máx. but need external antenna. When you put a radio in charger case it switch to use external mic, voltage, antenna & speaker. Actually 2500 mAh "AA" battery is very common and cheap. You can charge batterys on to radio case, only need a 200 mAh eliminator at 15v for 6 hours.

sounds like you are getting a feedback squeal.. try taking a wire and attaching to you handheld and grounding it to something.. that might work.. i know i have to have my mic on my cb grounded to my radio or i get a feedback squeal...
