Well with the phone turned off, press and hold the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons, then press the END/POWER button shortly and release it. You will then see a message on the screen asking if you're sure about resetting it. If so press the VOLUME UP key. It should boot shortly after that.
Goodluck!

Before doing it please take a backup of your phone.
Do HARD RESET (Go setting/in bottom- Menu/All setting/system/Clear storage/put the number 1234 then ok....And the other way for Hard Reset is put OFF the Device then press and stay together volume control UP and DOWN key (See in Left side of the device) and CALL END key .... when BLUE disply is ON, press Volume UP key .... then press again volume Up key...Now Device start Reset ......

After reset windows the device request you to select the language of HTC Sense (more than 8 language included in every HD2). If included English language in your device select it and solved your problem.

I can't unlock my htc-hd2 phone it always ask me the passoword is incorrect. pls help me how to re-open my phone.

I'm sorry, but I think you will need to contact T-Mobile for support. Call them from another phone at 1-800-T-Mobile.
If you don't care much about the info on the phone, then do a hard reset to factory defaults.

My HTC HD2 is stuck on the homescreen, It want let me get in the start menu to get in settings to do a factor hard reset

You can do factory hard reset for HTC HD2 even when it is turned off. But it will erase all contacts, downloaded contents and user informations. The phone settings will be reset to factory default.
These are the steps to hard reset HTC HD2.
  1. With the phone turned off, press and hold the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons, then press the END/POWER button shortly and release it.
  2. Release the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons.
  3. Press the VOLUME UP button to perform the hard reset, or press any other button to cancel the reset.
