Saw blade loosens on my craftsman 6.5 amp reciprocating saw no matter how much or often I tighten. Was working fine up until 2 weeks ago. Now the blade comes loose after about 20 seconds of use and blades begins to visually dip down but will still operate for 20 or 30 more seconds until it comes to loose for use.
There is a little blade retainer pin that is supposed to lock the blade in position. If you accidentally miss-align a blade when tightening the blade clamp, the tightening screw will "press" the retainer pin out, so that only the tightness of the clamping screw is holding the blade. You will get 10 to 30 seconds of cutting action, then the blade will loosen again, till the blade clamp screw strips.
Have not found a replacement blade-clamp anywhere.
Put a little bit off LOC-TITE on screw, worked for me
