If its a three wire coed put the middle terminal of the cord to the middle terminal of the terminal of the block then one outside terminal of the cord to black and the other to red all that really matters is the middle or round terminal of the cord going to the middle make sure they are tight and slip the little round parts of the strain relief in the round part of the terminal block cover and put the screw in it

Not sure about the hh limit or the element, but make absolute certain that there is good flow of air. Check to see if the vent is clogged. Remove the hose from the back of the dryer and see if air is flowing very hard. Use a vacuum cleaner or a wire or something if it is clogged. Similarly, check the hose itself. If the hose collapses when you attach a vacuum to it, it is clogged. Dryers require heat AND air flow to dry properly. :)

Need to change cords

If your dryer has only the three treminal block you should change the recptacle to a 3 wire. The difference in the 3 and 4 recptacle is that you have 2 hots, a neutral, and a ground prong. Find your dryer breaker in the box and just use the 2 hot and the neutral. Unless you can find a four terminal block for the dryer and even then would it mount to the dryer? Probably not. The extra ground simply grounds the cabinet to prevent damage. Your four wire recptacle may have a red and black(hot) a white(neutral) and a green or plain copper(ground)

Heat in dryer not hot enough, runs cool not hot

You may have a leg of power out. First turn off the breakers, then back on to insure a good reset. Then check the wiring at the receptacle, then the plug, then the wiring to the back of the dryer. This may be the problem. Have you cleaned the lint tray?

I have an Amana Elec. Dryer. Model # DLE 330 RAW that all of sudden quit heating. This dryer is about five years old. It has 7 cycles and 3 temp controls. Could this be a bad heat control switch or a...

It could be a circuit breaker, fuse, or electrical problem. Just because the motor runs doesnt mean it will heat.

You should check for power first.

Then unplug the dryer remove the lower front panel, two screws.

Mark and label any wire you remove so you know where they go!

in the back on the left is the heating element, check for burnt wires, take the element out and check for a broken wire on the back side also check all the thermostats, and electrical components to make sure they are good.

Installing dryer belt on amana LE2910W

Please view Amana dryer belt installation diagram amana.gif Diagram A

Style: Flat with ribs
Installation Tips: Ribs face toward drum
Disconnect dryer from the power source before servicing!
In assuming that you already have the front removed, you can raise the top by removing 2-5/16" screws located in each front corner that secure the top to the side panels. Then remove th 4-5/16" screws from the bulkhead that secures it to each side panel. Then use the diagram above on installing the belt properly.

Let me know if you need any more information.
