Laptop hi, i have a satellite M3OX and it has totally frozen, the touchpad wont move at all. ive been on a forum and lots of people have told me to do lots of things but they all involve pressing keys but nothing is working at all. When i press start the options come up but once the little egg timer stops it just freezes. I have tried a plug in mouse but that wont work either, please can anyone help, thanks x

I have the same problem. The only solution is to remove the battery to reboot. The question is what is causing it. Sometimes during log in and at other times when using it. Does not appear to be any consistency . Using Vista.

    Any bright ides

If it's frozen so that nothing gives you a menu, etc., I suspect the only option is to remove the battery and pull the power plug. That will ALWAYS give you a cold reboot. It's not the way you'd like to shut down, but it sounds like you have no choice.

Do you mean it will move with a mouse, but not the touchpad? If so, maybe settings in this article will help:

Touch Pad can be disabled on two different ways. The first one is using FN+F9 key combination or using DISABLE option in mouse properties in control panel

try re-starting the computer; if that does not work install an external moue and try navigating withthat. If that works it is that the touchpad has been damaged; or the drivers arecorrupt

Frozen mouse with a touch pad laptop computer

Many laptops have a button, usually located right above the touchpad, that disables the touchpad.

And there may be drivers that need to be loaded for some touchpads to operate properly, in case you've reinstalled the OS.
