Hi,do you hear any strange noises? If you hear clicking or like wanting to turn on it could be the board that powers the lamp it's called the ballast.Here's the instructions to replace it for a samsung ,it works like your mitusibishi:http://www.fixyourdlp.com/guides/samsung/bp47-00033a.php The ballast has a sensor that detects when it's not able to power the lamp or if lamp is not responding,it will flash red when that sensor detects that.When you say: "it began to roll like the vertical and horizontal hold did not work then the sound went out" Do you mean you where getting horizontal lines? If you did that could be the Dmd.his is how it works: http://electronics.howstuffworks.com/dlp1.htm Basically the light of the lamp goes through a tunnel that carries a color wheel(rotating disc with a gamma of colors that creates the colors on your tv)then the light of the lamp goes through the DMD board which is a chip composed of around 2 million pixels that creates the images and colors.When it starts to fail it will create black bars,pixelation,color distortion or white dots on screens. Usually when there's a green light it could indicate a problem with the power supply,sometimes some capacitors do go bad. Check all of this and comment on this answer to see how it went.

We have a mitsubishi WD-62525 tv and we turned it on and after a while it turned itself off and then we got a continiously flashing red status light! what does this mean & what do we need to do to fix...

Mitsubishi TVtroubleshooting
Here's something that might also be useful. After you turn on the set, and getthe regular red blinky lights, hold down the Device and Menu buttons togetherfor about 5 seconds.
The Power light will start to flash in a two digit sequence.
For example, 3 flashes, then 7 flashes = 37.
Here are the error codes, and the corresponding problem:
12 = No error detected, check power supply.
32 = Lamp Cover is open.
33 = Air filtercover is open.
34 = Lamp abnormality
36 = Light Engine (DMD or Lamp Fan stopped)
37 = Exhaust or Lamp Ballast Fan stopped
38 = Lamp Temperature High
39 = DMD Temperature High
41 = Short is detected
44 = DVI cablebetween FMT and Engine disconnected

I have a mitsubishi wd-62525 the power light keeps blinking, and i can't get picture. i unpluge it than want 2min than it stop blinking and i can turn to tv on and get a picture than after 30-40mi

Good day!!!!

That problem is usually cause of faulty capacitors on the power supply board..

Just follow this instruction to fix your TV..

1. Open the back cover of your TV.
2. Look at the power supply board..Its normally connected to the power cord..
3. After that,,try to look at the actual image of capacitors if it is bulged on the top so that you can easily determine the bad capacitors..
4. After that,,try to replaced the bad capacitors using soldering iron and soldering lead..replaced the capacitors only with the same type ratings and value..
5. Some of the capacitors not bulged so its better if have a capacitance meter

Mitsubishi wd-62525 sound will come on but no picture.

Your tv would turn on if you replace the only two 3300µf@16v capacitors on the power board . You wil notice they are bad by the way they bulge up at the top and may be leaking electrolyte a little from the tops . But the rolling lines would still remain but much less noticable.Then other symptoms will eventually appear. Truth is many many many many other capacitors need to be replaced inside the electrical chassis. Your TV would need to go to a repair shop that is expierienced in that repair because it is so extensive.

Cannot turn tv on

Check power supplly make sure its not the fault in wht this will not turn on.

Unplug tv from wall wait 30 secounds and plug back in.

If that does not work you will need to have someone look at the powersupply.

Tv roll

Are you sure the roll isnt Vertical? as if it is then all you need to do is adjust the VERTICAL HOLD PRESET POT which should be located on the PCB somewhere, its very unusual for TV.S to roll horizontally as then the picture just goes out of sync. and you would not see a picture at all. When you find the pot turn it ( with a small screw driver) slowly until the rolling stops, if it does not stop then you have a faulty component in the vert. sync. circuitry.

Horizontal roll on mitusbishi 35" tv

is this a horizontal black line going up or down? if yes, this sympton is caused by a trouble in the integrated circuit or in the vertical oscillator circuit. this symptons has 2 variations. one is the intermittent rolling of the picture. this referred to as the "loose vertical hold" the other variations is the continuous upward or downward rolling of the picture
