ALESIS M1 ACTIVE MK2 CONE VIBRATION!

I recently bought my Alesis active monitors to a gig and maybe put to much low end into them, now at home in my studio if im processing beats or djing i can hear my left speaker cone vibrating, when i put my finger on the cone and slightly push it in the vibration stops, when i let go it starts again!! I think maybe the cone is on its way out! Can i get a replacment cone or can i buy a single left monitor?? HELP!!!

I have the same problem. Too much low end... now it vibrates/rattles, but when I push down on the cone, it stops. I've tried to replace the woofer by opening it up, but I can't see any visible screws anywhere. I can find replacement woofers online though. Please help.

Hello!
my speaker Alessis M1 Active 620, with a roar is very strong in the speaker, the potentiometer does not attenuate, change the volume. Ja switched capacitor C8, based on my research of other users, but got no result. When you press the power button, the LED lights in blue, and even change the color to red, producing a noise (snoring) very strong.
help!
Please help me!

These cones are still sold, Im not sure if Alesis still hold spares of thm but Ive seen numerous ones on eBay, etc.

Try these on eBay and email them for your particular driver; http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ALESIS-5-1-4-MONITOR-II-HIGH-OUTPUT-MID-8OHM-TO-5KHZ_W0QQitemZ270401782584QQcmdZViewItemQQptZSpeakers_Subwoofers?hash=item3ef533c338&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1683%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A0%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50

you connect the TASCAM outputs L & R to a suitable power amplifier and then you connect the speakers to the outputs on the amplifier.

Alesis M1 Active 620 studio monitor cutting out

I see from the manual there are several controls on the speaker that could affect the sound in the way you describe (gain, hi- and mid-boost, acoustic space). Why don't you compare the actions of each control with the working speaker as the standard and a test tone or FM noise as the source? It might help you to identify a specific internal function that has changed. After that, someone's going to have to crack it open and do surgery.

You might also try using the opposite input (TRS vs XLR) than the one you're using. It might reveal something.

Blue led problem in alesis mk1 active

I dont think its anything to worry about, if the unit didnt turn on at all or the LED flickered then you would need a capacitor or 2 changing; check here; http://www.neufeld.newton.ks.us/electronics/?p=232
