Hi,
Here are somethings to check.
Make sure you have power and inspect power cord.
Check the door switch when you push in the door switch does it click? Try setting the timer to a different setting see if it works there. The next thing to check would be the thermal fuse but this would require opening up the cabinet.

WHIRLPOOL DRYER Model Number LER7646EQ1 WILL NOT RUN

take the 9 hex head screws out of rear cover remove cover then on the blower housing toward the left side where the black duct comes down from the lint chute theres a thermal fuse on this round shaped housing with 2 wires to it its about 1" long by 1/4" wide if this opens the unit will appear dead, you can test it or bypass it for testing only if bad it needs replacing as its there for fire safety, also if its open/bad clean out any lint as this lint will cause overheating and burn out this fuse

Dryer panel comes on, but when pushing the start botton just hear a click

If the door switch or the door-switch actuator is defective, the dryer won't work and you need to replace the failed component. The switch is inside the dryer main housing near the door frame. Sometimes you need to raise or open the top or front of the dryer to reach the switch.
Here is a link to a video that will walk you thru the repair.

Whirlpool dryer goes on but does not spin does the model # ler7646eq1 have a belt

hello,

the answer to the problem is Yes.

please note this

The washer will not spin/rinse if it cannot drain the tub first. To start with check the drain pump for any clogs/obstructions; also check the drain hose for any blockages.

After this is done check the drain pump motor and drain pump, also check the wire harness from the CCU (central control unit) to drain pump and replace the part that has gone bad.

thank you and thanks for using fixya.

My dryer was working. I stopped it to take my clothes. When I went to put in the wet clothes my dryer would not start.

Try pressing on the door to close it and
see if it starts. It sounds like the door switch has failed or the actuating arm is bent. You should hear a click as the door just barely opens or is nearly closed. No click = no start. I.e. Door switch problem.

Whirlpool Dryer LER7646EQ1 Motor?

Could be something jamming the fan blade but if the motor shaft turns freely then your motor is bad.

Whirlpool dryer model LER7646EQ1

Thats what it's supposed to do hopefully the clothes are coming out dry. The dryer has both thermal sesors and fuses that tell the dryer when to heat up and when to cool down. So yes the heating element will come on and go off multiple times in a cycle.

Whirlpool Dryer Model # LER7646EQ1 won't start

I'd check door switch first. Improper voltage, thermal fuse, start switch, motor, and wiring are also possibilities.
