I am not having mother board drivers

Hi Thanks for your question.
Please go to this website---> http://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&ProductFamily=Desktop+Boards&ProductLine=Intel%C2%AE+915+Express+Chipset+Family+Boards&ProductProduct=Intel%C2%AE+Desktop+Board+D915GAV
This website is Intel's download/support center. As you will see your motherboard is already chosen. What you need to do now id choose your operation system and download type.
Once you've done this your results should show underneath. Click on desired file and choose to save on PC when prompted. Once downloaded go to containing folder and lunch setup file. Installation should start at that point. Once installed restart your PC. Your drivers should be in place now. I hope this helped you. Please do not hesitate to ask more questions if this is needed. I recently formatted my computer and am trying to reinstall the drivers, I have them all except now I notice that my sound device is missing from device manager. There is none listed, all the solutions I...

First off, yes, the D915 series of boards all have Audio on board, with Line In (Blue Conn.), Speaker Out (Green Conn.), and Mic (Red Conn.) on the back of the motherboard.

The product manual is available on the intel website:
http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/d915gav/av_manual.htm

It states that it includes a 6-channel audio subsystem based on the Realtek AL860 audio codec. The manual will eventually take you to the Intel driver download page:
http://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&ProductFamily=Desktop+Boards&ProductLine=Intel%C2%AE+915+Express+Chipset+Family+Boards&ProductProduct=Intel%C2%AE+Desktop+Board+D915GAV

The key, I believe to your problem, is to make sure you have:
1. the latest BIOS
2. the latest INF installed
3. the driver set for the ALxxx chipset.

Make 100% sure that within your BIOS that the Audio portion of the board is enabled.

Also, on Page 45 of the manual it speaks of the Front Panel Header (10 pin header between PCI slot and PCIe 1x), and notes the following:
To restore back panel audio, follow these steps:
1. Turn off all peripheral devices connected to the computer. Turn off the computer and
disconnect the AC power cord.
2. Remove the cover.
3. Remove the front panel audio cable.
4. Install a jumper on pins 5-6 (rear R channel).
5. Install a jumper on pins 9-10 (rear L channel).
6. Replace the cover.

Hope this helps.

If this board was manufatured by intel then you can go to www.intel.com. Click on the support link and lookup your board model #. All drivers/bios files that are available will be listed there and available for free download. Hope this helps & please take a moment to rate this solution. Thanks.
