Question about Nextar MA933A MP3 Player

1 Answer

Folders Alright, this is driving me crazy. I really want my songs in a nice neat order, but when I try to put them in folders (on the computer screen) it says not enough memory, or that the device is disconnected! I just put a new battery in and it still has 70 mb of memory. All I want to do is create a folder and move songs into it. Also on the LCD screen, it says NEW FOLDER, and not what I named it. Help!

E250 SANSA MP3 - IVE NEVER DOWNLOADED MP3 FILES BEFORE....

I have this player and it drives me crazy, too.

I don't know if this will help delete what you don't want but plug the sandisk into your computer and open to view the contents. when you see the list of folders, at the top click on tools--then folder options--then view make sure "show hidden files and folders" is checked. click ok. then if you can see the folder you want to delete, highlight it and press the delete key on your keyboard. (if you want to save it, copy it to your hard drive instead). to put on a cd this may be a roundabout way but is fairly simple. put the cd in the computer, using windows media player rip it and save songs in a folder on the hard drive. save as mp3 (or wma should work, too.) you can read on the net how to do this. once the songs are in the folder, close media play. go to the folder and the hard drive and copy it to the sandisk . you can see on your computer if it is there. unplug from the computer and hopefully you can find it and play the songs. good luck!

How do I create folders?

Under WinXP Pro the MP020 shows up as 'Panasonic Audio Player' with a folder 'Fixed Storage'. Try to do File>New Folder on the 'FIxed Storage' and no can do.
Build a new folder under you C: drive.
Go back and clip on 'Fixed Storage'. I see a file WMPinfo.xml.
Go back to the folder you just built under C: and click/drag to the right.
The new folder should be under the 'Fixed Storage' folder.
The new folder under 'Fixed Storage' has a bot more functionality associated.
I'm not crazy about having to do it this way but it works.
Now someone tell me how to speed up the transfer process

Help creating subfolders/playlists/album folders

Win XP Pro
Build new folders under your C:\ drive.
Click on the folder that shows under the 'Panasonic Audio Player'
Click and drag your new C:\ drive folders to the right.
The new folders should show up on the MP020.
Cut and paste won't do it, stupid software.

Deleteing song

One way is to hook the ipod to your computer, go under My Computer and click the external hard drive device (which is your Ipod). Then open the folders and delete the unwanted songs. You can drag your songs into the folders from your computer hard drive. Walla!

Cant arrange songs according to my way

I used ID3-TagIT to change the album name of my songs to the name of the folder on my Sansa c250 that I want to put the songs in. Open your Sansa in My Computer, double click on Internal Memory and open the music folder. Add a new folder and name it whatever you put in for the album name of your songs. Highlight all your songs and drag and drop them into your folder. Don't use media player to sync or they end up all mixed up in different folders.

When i connect to the computer, i can add songs, but the songs on it dont show up

I don't know if you've inadvertently deleted the music folder, but that's what I did, when I deleted all the folders by mistake, thank heavens for in-store warrenty, they replaced it with another one. What I noticed on my replacement is synchronizing with media player doesn't work, it creates ghost folders and thinks music is there when it isn't, I don't understand it. Solution: open two windows for my music and sansa e280 music, then just drag and drop the folders; what I noticed is that in my music the folders are named by artist, and I prefer to see them by album, but when I view them in the player, I see the albums with the tracks in the right order.

Remember when you format memory like a hard drive you erase everything. Move music to your internal mp3 memory and do a profile - folders should appear. If you have flashed your player with the firmware update you can get 520 songs on the player for both internal and external combined but be warned that if you exceed this count your player will start to forget the earlier loaded songs - listed but not addressable (playable). The same is for the folder count eg. add album = artist + ablum title (min 2 folders). Plus always profile your songs after loading new music or deleting as this is an index build process to play song 152 = title x. This includes accidental radio recordings to MP3s. RD2312 , RD2315, RD2317 Lyra™ mp3 flash player Firmware/Application Upgrade Version 3.11 fixes:
  • Supports a total of 520 songs, in up to 50 folders, with up to 8 levels of subfolders.
