Hello Chac c,

The reason that you are getting a 'red light' is because your lamp is burned out. There is a panel on the back of the TV that gives you access to this lamp. You can remove it and check the part# to be sure then replace it. I did a quick search for you just based on the model# which you provided. You can see it here - http://www.nextag.com/serv/main/buyer/OutPDir.jsp?search=samsung+lamp&gg_site=&gg_aid=1295966762

Hope this helps :)

Samsung told me this was a common problem and I would have to have it serviced by an authorized repair facility.
My problem ended up being the internal power supply, but they also told me the main boards burn up.

How old is your tv and when was the lamp changed last? If its more than two years then you need to change the lamp. Its easy DIY. Buy lamp from reliable source or a known shop. check out rate for lamps on www.fixurtvs.com. thanks if you voted.

My Samsung HC-p4363w have no pic or sound but the power red light is on

Try pushing the "source" button on remote or on the TV. Wait about 5 seconds, if no picture, push again. Do this at least 6 times or until you get a picture. With each push, the TV will look for cable input, dvd input, etc. until it finds your cable signal.

Also make sure your cable/antenna is hooked up and working.

If that doesn't work, hold down the "enter" button for 10 seconds to reset the tv to original factory settings. Then follow the on-screen menu setup instructions.

-please rate me. Thanks and good luck.
