Is then anything jammed in it? Look for thread that might be wrapped around something. I work on a lot of printers and sometimes it's easy to miss something. Use a flashlight and go over it really carefully. Remove any panels that come off and even open up the housing with a screwdriver and look at the drive. There may be something stuck in the drive train or something broken. I'll see if I can't dig up some more information on this.

The needle threader on an Elizabeth

My experience with auto threaders has been pretty mixed. When they work, they are wonderful...When they don't, fixing them can often be a struggle. Look in your manual. See if they have quick suggestions based on your machine make/model. Posting your model here might help too--others might have suggestions

What type of needle and where can I buy?

If you buy a "universal" needle at a sewing shop or even at the walmart, it should get you going.

My Singer 401A won't turn on and I have checked the plugs. Any suggestions on what is wrong?

Did you check the pins where the female plug inserts into the male socket on the machine ? They may be worn or damaged and need replacing, so that even if the cord is functional, power is no longer feeding into the machine motor.

You say the plugs are working.. how did you test them to find out ?

My blind hemmer is skipping stitches which then makes it possible to unravel the entire seem. What is causing this?

I would suggest changing the needle
have you ran over any pins or heavy seams?
I would suggest finding a sewing machine shop in your area that can work on
the machine. because it could be out of time,,

White speedylock 1600 thread keeps breaking

rethread the machine to make sure it's threaded correctly & that the thread is not caught anywhere

put new needles

check the thread tension, it sounds like it's to tight

use a can of computer air & clean out around the loopers area for lint or loose threads

if none of these suggestions work, then having it serviced would be the next suggestion

I bought a Husqvarna Rose embroidery machine and last year my computer packed up so I can not use the software on a new computer. Is there any solution that someone can suggest?

You should be able to go to www.husqvarnaviking.com and download a patch or a fix to be able to use on the new computer. Sometimes we suggest a person leaves the software on an old computer, not upgraded, just for the software to be able to work. Some new computers will not run the old software at all.

Feed dog lever not working on my Kenmore 385 24 stitch machine

I surfed around this site for various suggestions, finally took the bottom plate off and cleaned and oiled all the parts along that rod that goes right across (think it's a drive bar that rotates). Ran the machine without thread in for a few minutes to let the oil soak in. Machine now works fine.

When you say it does not work, what doesnt it work? Is it not cutting the material? Is it not looping?
