I hope you have it backed up on your pc or it will stay on long enough to backup. The only way to fully fix this problem is to wipe it with a program called JL_Cmnder (http://www.blackberryfreaks.com/JL_Cmder.html) make sure the blackberry desktop software is not running when you dot he wipe after the phone will reboot and give you a error screen with a line through it. Once you have that screen open the blackberry desktop software and it should give you the option to upgrade your software. Once it is done you will have a fully wiped and reloaded OS. Then you can reload your back up. I would selectively reload it and only put the important stuff in like calendar and phone book since there is a possibility that your backup could have saved the database that is giving you the error. Here is a link to another fixya article that has the fix in more detail its the same steps. http://www.fixya.com/support/t4416922-fix_app_error_523

If you are troubleshooting a system or OS problem, you should not consider firmware updates until after exploring more typical troubleshooting steps like file system error checking and anti-virus scanning. try uninstalling a few unnecessary programs then click start run type cmd then type chkdsk/r/f which will scan for and attempt to fix any bad sectors and automatically fix any corrupt files on your hard drive then defragment your hard drive
Hi, Looking at what you’ve posted, this is more like a battery problem let’s try some troubleshooting; 1.)Try charging the battery again: Keep the battery out for some time & then reload & check. 2.)If it's less than a month old see if you can return it, otherwise you can try reloading the OS. So if you're willing to try that, do the following. First download and install the Desktop Manager from here (4.6 without Media Manager is recommended): https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/entry.do?code=A8BAA56554F96369AB93E4F3BB068C22 Next you can use the Backup and Restore feature present in the software to make a backup of all the data on your phone. Next download and install the handheld software from here: http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
Afterwards try reloading the OS by connecting the device to your computer, open the Desktop Manager, then go into the Application Loader. This will open a wizard that steps you through reloading the OS onto your device. More detailed steps can be found here: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB03485

Good Luck & Thanks,
A reset of a BlackBerry smartphone does not delete any settings or data. There are two options for performing a reset: a hard reset and a soft reset.
A hard reset involves physically removing the battery from the smartphone and then reinserting it. To perform a hard reset, complete the following steps:
1) Remove the battery cover from the back of the BlackBerry
smartphone. 2) Remove the battery, and then reinsert it after a few seconds. 3) Replace the battery cover.
