Question about HTC Touch P3450 Smartphone
I was duped with this purchase! Not even sales staff realized there is no language setting change possibility! HTC Europe in UK justifies the omission of this important detail for many by advising, HTC Touch is not a mobile phone...it is a PDA w/ telephone option!!!!
Can anyone help me! Where can I buy or download a 3rd party OS ROM in English (as I was told by HTC I would need to do to make this language change)!
Any all assist will be very much appreciated...I am not tech savvy! Thanks
My husband and I have a similar problem with our HTC H2D. I bought this phone for a surprise for Fathers Day for my husband. (I was never into these 'smart phones') But decided to splurge for my husband and go hi-tech, what a mistake! My phone MyTouch Slide can change language between English/Spanish & our older Samsung Gravity 2 even has French, so buying this HTC H2D, was a no-brainer that it would AT LEAST have Spanish (we recently immigrated from Latin America) & he does not yet speak English, though taking classes, they haven't started the cell phone chapter yet. This phone is completely USELESS to him at this point! If a Cybershot camera can not recognize darker skinned people & they call that racism, then it is the same case with our HTC H2D! I have spent long long time on the phone with tech-support & talked to numerous people trying to resolve this issue & all they come up with is that it is "not possible." What an expensive, useless Fathers Day present!
I hope someone can come up with something quick!

I have been unable to sort this out! I am not tech savvy...however, I understand I need to obtain a Windows 6 OS in English! I´ve checked online for freedownloads & have yet to find! So many purchasers have this problem...not realizing there isn´t a language change setting prior to purchase! I´ve spoken directly to HTC with the issue of this little advertising omission!!! They blame Microsoft!!! I intend to speak to a lawyer friend. I think it´s deceitful marketing to some degree!
BTW...HTC also justified the language setting omission issue, advising me my HTC Touch is not a smartphone...not even a phone...it´s a PDA! PDA´s according to them, do not have language change settings!!! Do note however, HTC.com site does list the HTC Touch under Touch Phones in their Product window!!!
Thanks for the help! Happy Easter!

best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
