It is not sucking the water back out of carpet. I checked the brushes, the lid on recovery tank, everything seems to be intact. Now what? I have wet carpets.

I have checked the brushes and the upolstery tool. They are all hooked up according to the directions. I have used these tools for years and have not had this problem. Water comes out but the machine doesn't take it back in'

Steamvac will not **** up water

Check the lid on the lower tank. The front of the lid lips over the tank to lock it on and snaps in the back. You probably haven't locked the front edge down

Its not sucking up the water off the carpet , no suction , it's spraying , the scrubbing brushes are spinning , I can feel air blowing out of the side, I don't know if i usually feel that are not

Hello. Take out your recovery tank, remove the lid, and re-attach lid rolling it from the front to the back, there are two tabs on the tank that the lid has to be aligned with, you will hear it "click" when it is tight. I think this might be the trick! Let me Know if I helped. Thank you. Rene (The Vacuum Doctor) Don't forget to have your unit serviced once a year by a qualified tech!

I poured the water out and when i went to put lid back on its not sucking up the water and lid keeps moving around

The lid on the lower tank needs to have a tight seal, otherwise you will lose suction to the floor. make sure all latches are secure.

Steam vac won't **** water

check to see if the recovery tank lid is on correctly. if this is not on, the machine will not **** up the dirty water from the carpet. all you will get is suction that is chopy when it comes up instead of more like a flow.

Steamvac won't **** the water into the recovery tank.

This usually means one of a few things:

1. The lower tank is full
2. You did not dispense water (sloution tank empty), when applying solution to the floor.

Hoover steam cleaner F5912-900 not sucking up water

Check to make sure that the lid locked down all of the way around. If yours has a foam filter on the inside of the recovery tank lid, make sure it has at least a 1/4 in. gap from the top. There is a filter, from the bottom, has a red casing, remove it and clean it. Also make sure that the removeable duct in front of the recovery tank is in place.

Solution tank does not dispense--recovery tank still sucks up dirty water from tile floor on screen porch. I applied cleaner manually with a scrub brush and sucked it up with the hoover steam vac deluxe.

Check to see if the when you squeeze the trigger, the rod is hitting the reservior asm(tank sits on). If not then there is a problem inside the handle and the rod. If it is hitting, then the reservior asm. is bad. Also make sure fluid is coming out of the tank when you push the vavle in at the bottom of the tank.

Steam vac will not pick up dirty water

My Hoover Steamvac problem isn't with the bruches--it's with the suction. Dirty soapy water stays in the carpet instead of being returned to one of the holding tanks.
