Battery not detected

Maybe the battery is completely dead and needs to be replaced. Batteries only have a useful life and after that, it will not take a charge.

If this is a new netboot then I would check the Bios or System Setup to see if there are any settings in it that controls the battery. If not, take it back since it is new.

08 subaru manual transmission had dead battery. tried jumping it and er hc code shows on dash and engine will not start even tho radio and other lights are working. what does the er hc mean? i cannot...

You can't reset it yourself. It takes a scanner at your Local Dealership to do it. People do it, (new battery or dead battery) everyday unaware that doing so can and usually does, arm the theft system and either kills the radio or the whole car. To me it's just another built-in defect that requires dealer assistance. It's a buzz kill I know. They will need your VIN, and then they call HQ to get the code for your radio, which will also bring your whole car back to life.

If your battery is officially dead, start by replacing it. Some vehicles will not jump start if the battery is completely gone, as with a dead short internally. You may still have to get Dealer assistance to clear the Theft system code.

Will not crank like the battery is dead, but after a jump battery shows full charge.

A weak or dead cell in your battery will cause this type of condition. You must get a battery load test done on your battery to see if you have a dead cell. Autozone will do this for free as most auto repair shops. A good temp fix is give your battery a full charge where the water will bubble from heat. This will clean the cells off for added life.
Good luck and thanks for your question and I hope my suggestions help. Don't forget to rate me.

LG VU,battery indicator shows fully charged but I can only talk a couple of minutes before phone shuts off and shows dead battery? Just a dead battery or something else going on here?

Hello,

I believe the cells of your battery is very weak that is why it can no longer hold charges for long.

All you need to do is to get a new battery on your phone and makesure you charge the new battery to its maximum capacity before you start making use of it.

This will help preserve the life span of the battery and make it last longer.

Take care.

Smart2200RMXL2U shows no sign of life after storage

These units, while hot swappable, will NOT start with dead batteries connected.

You will have to replace the batteries to confirm if the unit is still usable. Sealed Lead Acid Batteries do have a shelf life when a charge is not applied and will fail after several months of sitting around.

If your unit was working fine before it was put in storage, I definitely would consider just replacing the batteries. It is possible that the batteries are connected loosely, you can try opening the unit up to double check all the connections but if it has been sitting for more than a couple months, I would definitely consider the batteries dead.

You can find replacement batteries here http://www.refurbups.com/Tripplite-SMART2200RMXL2U-Batteries

My laptop will not power up

Do you mean there is no sign of life in your laptop??? If yes then there are a number of reasons for it. The dead battery, but should run when plugged into mains. Dead power-on switch on the laptop. Bad BIOS chip. Disconnected motherboard. A bad BIOS chip is unlikely but a bad power-on switch is very likely. And for both these items you will have to open up the laptop. And then replace the power-on switch.

HP pavillion dv6000 will not turn on

This could be many things, such as a dead battery, faulty charger, dead motherboard, faulty outlet the laptop is plugged into. Now, if the lights are on but the laptop will not boot up or show life on the screen, then most likely that is a dead motherboard due to a failure of the graphics chip. If there are lights, but there is no HDD or fan activity, then that is a failure of the motherboard. If the computer shows signs of booting, HDD lights are active, try to see if you can see a failnt image on the screen, it may be very faint and hard to see anything. This would indicate afailure of the screen inverter and would just need an inverter replaced.

No power

Two things you can do. 1- remove the battery and try starting with the supply only. Dell batteries are notorious for causing a no start. 2- remove the memory and try starting with one chip in one then the other slot, then try the other chip. A bad memory chip can also cause a no start. If these don't correct the problem, then it's going to be with a motherboard component, most likely the power management system. You will need to take it in for a professional diagnostics in order to trace the exact problem area.
