Re: xerox 5830 A2-2 code
A2-2 is an indication the feed rollers adn belts are slick.
What you can try it to take a piece of paper, dampen is slightly in the middle with alcohol, put that into the feeder and hold it to jam. What that will do it allow the rollers to spin on the paper with the alcohol and you will see the dirt on the paper. You may have to do that a few times to get those rolls clean.
Do not use a soapy cleaner like fantstic since it will shread the paper.
But you have slick feed components, cleaning will help, but the only cure is to replace them.

How did you resolve the color problem? I am having the same issue on a Xerox Workcentre 24. After initializing the NVM, the auto-feeder does not work and the colors are off. How did you resolve the colors being offset?
The machine has been sitting around for a while, or was just been stopped being used.
Try cleaning the brown roller in Tray 2.
Try the other paper trays see if they work. Tray 1 and tray 3.
We would need more information about the results of these areas and how it worked.
If there is alcohole, try cleaning the brown roller. The other rollers are harder to see. This machine could even have bad paper feed clutches.
A xerox serivce call would have to be placed to do the major repairs.
if it is a 5830 model, go to the menu and look for tools.
type "1111" and hit enter
sometimes it can be "11111" and see if it works.
I hope this is the area you wish to enter.
If it is the auditron mode, place a Xerox service call for the service rep.

if its a u9-1 code it is the lamp that is faulty. Sometimes it can be the connections either end of the lamp but normally the lamp itself. It will probably cost as much to fix as it would to get a new one to be honest
