Make sure you have not got the lens set to Macro or simlar.
Also bear in ming low light exposure will lead to long exposure and therefore camerahake.
Check all this out first before going deeper in.

My Canon Rebel XS will not auto focus correctly. It sounds like it is trying to focus, but only flashes and will not focus or take the picture.

Those quick fast flashes usually mean the camera is trying to find contrast to take the photo but it can't. The scene might be to dark and the camera can not set it's focus and there for cannot take a picture. Move the camera slightly from left to right on the subject and see if it can manage to set focus. It's normal for the camera to give out these quick flashes as it is trying to find some sort of contrast in the subject, turning on a room light might help this?

Now when you manually focus, then the camera does not have to use it's built in auto focus sensor and will let you take a photo when you manually focus on the subject.

My screen is constantly blurry except when i am on the menu screens

Good day,

I have heard a lot of complaints about people taking Blurry Photos.

There are a few possibilities for it and a few easy fixes.

The first possibility I would identify is a dirty lens. To fix this simply take a clean microfiber cloth and gently clean the lens until there are no smudges visible.

The other possibility I would identify is that the pictures are out of focus.
This problem can be caused by a dirty lens or because the object or person was not focused on. To ensure focus on your photos, line up your shot and wait for the camera to focus by pressing the shutter button half way down. When focused press the shutter button in all the way and hold the camera still until the photo appears on the screen. By doing this you will eliminate any motion that might mess up your shot.

Please let me know if these tips work for you!

Regards

I have a lp 70 + by infocus. It was dropped on its lens with no internal damage on the machine itself, the lense piece is out of wack. I want to unscrew it the lens but dunno what it looks like inside. Can...

take the top cover off and there are 2 screws on either side of the the focus tube and 1 or 2 on the bottom side of the focus tube. if they are black screws it is a torx bit #10 I think, if they are silver it will need a perfect fitting phillips head or you will strip the heads if you aren't careful. if the focus ring at the end of the tube is jammed, look for the widest place the you can stick a wide blade flathead in the space between the focus tube and focus ring and work the blade around the space spreading the space open with the screwdriver all the way around till you hear a pop, which will be the plastic ring snapping back into place.

FOCUS OUT OF WACK...big problems

Hi
Change the mode to 'One Shot'. Press the AF-WB and turn the top dial to 'One Shot'.

2. Increase your depth of field. When shooting in Av try using f11. This should help with te out of focus people on the ends. Check your shutter speed as well. Good rule of thumb is to keep the shutter speed higher than the focal length of the lens. i.e. 100mm lens should have a shuter speed of 100+ for hand held shots. You may need to change the ISO speed to get the shutter speed in low light. Lternative is to use a tripod.

Hope this helps.

Picture problems

OK to help assist everyone having the BLUE HUE and CURVED LINES Issue on their Rear Projection HDTV no matter their model. Here are the steps to take. The first thing to check is the FOCUS BLOCK or G2 Focus Transformer or CRX F-Pack. I have replaced mine, however it didn't resolve the issue. I am onto the next item the CRT Board for Blue (Which is the board under one of the three color lamps inside your tv) Please see photo below (if photo is not large enough below go to link to review notes as well) If the CRT Board is not it, then the next step will be the Signal Board which is a larger board in the back. In a week I will have a picture of both.

INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. Remove the outside cover
  2. Remove the wood plank/panel
  3. In the front is the G2 Focus Block/Transformer, while set is on turn the top 3 knobs till the screen goes black/dark grey.
  4. adjusting the colors till you receive the desired or normal color/picture.
  5. Once you have received the proper color/picture tap the side of the Focus Block.
  6. IF The colors go out of wack again and the blue comes back strong then this "CAN BE" the Focus Block.

Replace the G2 Focus Block aka Focus Transformer, if Hitachi it's called a CRX F-Pack. This item will cost about $50. Not expensive. You will likely need a soldiering iron. DO TURN OFF & UNPLUG THE TV WHEN INSERTING ANY METAL OBJECTS INTO THE TV!!

FOLLOW THE PHOTOS/DIAGRAM in link below for assistance in the above instructions. I will post my next process since it was not my Focus Block that was an issue.
