How do I reset the correct time on this watch?

That depends on the make / model of the watch.

Most mechanical watches, and some battery operated analog watches have a knob that can be pulled out half way, to set the date, and all the way, to set the time.

Most digital watches have at least two buttons: one (I'll call "A") for setting the mode, and "B" for incrementing some value.

Typically, one presses A briefly, to cycle the display through "clock, calendar, alarm, chronometer etc".

By holding A for a few seconds, likely, something will start to flash. This indicates setting mode. Pressing A briefly again, will cycle through seconds, minutes, hours, day of month, month, and possibly year. (perhaps in opposite order). Pressing B will increment whatever number is flashing. Holding A again, will save any changes, and return the watch to normal mode.

I have Timex SR 920 SW watch, how to adjust the date and day?

Adjust the day of month (1-31) by pulling the crown pin out part way, and turning the pin counter clockwise, incrementing the date arm. Counterclockwise does nothing.

To adjust day of week (Mon-Sun), pull the pin out and rotate to turn minute/hour hands. Each time you pass 12:00, the weekday hand will increment by a half step.

Rotate the crown to set the exact time.
Ensure that you are in the daytime12 hour segment by allowing the hands to pass 12 o'clock and notice if the date moved on or not.
If the date changed, then you will need to advance at least 2 hours before moving on to set the date.
If you do not need to change the date, return the crown to position 1.

Resetting the Hands:
If the hands do not zero correctly, which might occur after a battery change or a violent shock, you can make adjustments by doing the following settings as long as the countdown is not in operation.
To correct the hour/seconds counter sub-dial, pull the crown out to position 2 and wait 1 second.
Press either the 2 or 4 o'clock button; the central timing hand will turn and stop [not necessarily at 12].
Press the 2 o'clock button to increment the hours/seconds counter sub-dial hand to position it at 60.
To correct the central timing hand, press the 4 o'clock button to increment the hand to the 12 position.
Return the crown to position 1.

If the battery had been replaced, the central timing hand defaults to the 10 minute position. If the battery had not been replaced, the central timing hand will return to the previously set position.

How do you set the time?

hi,
By trial and error, you need to press and hold one of the buttons until the face blinks. That means the interface is in "set" mode. Once you're in set mode, then there are two options: increment the element that's blinking (hours, minutes, etc), or move the focus to the next element. These two actions are probably handled by two different buttons. The button you initially held probably does the focus shifting while another button probably does the incrementing.

"Set" mode is like a tunnel. Once you're in, just keep moving focus from element to element until you run out of things to change, at which point you exit the tunnel and return to normal watch mode.

Citizen Skyhawk Time Adjustment Problem

It is possible to set the main analogue hour and minute hand 30 minutes out of phase with the digital readout, but doing so will also put the analogue UTC dial 30 minutes off. It can be done by using a variation of the proceedure for zeroing the watch hands as follows: 1. Rotate the crown in its normal opering position to set the watch in chronograph mode (mode dial pointing to "chr") 2. Pull out the crown to the second click. This should cause all the hands on the watch to return to zero. "HR" should appear on the left-hand digital display. This will allow you to move the hour hand by twisting the crown. Advance it to about half way between the 12 o'clock and 1 o'clock positions. 3. Press the top button. "MIN" should appear in the left-hand digital display. This allows you to adjust the minute hand. Twist the crown to advance it to the 6 o'clock, or 30 minute, position. Note that this will also move the minute hand on the small UTC dial to the 30 minute position. 4. Press the crown back into its normal position. 5. Reset the digital time and date according to a time zone that is in a one-hour offset from UTC. This is not a perfect solution. Your digital readings will show the correct time for all one-hour offset time zones while your analogue nads are 30 minutes out of phase. Your small UTC dial will also be 30 minutes out of phase with the digital UTC. Hope this helps.
