Change the settings to not play whatever types of files you don't want it to play. Whatever you use as your main media player, you can uncheck all those things from Nero so it doesn't try to play them.

Hi, got new pc, windows 7 64 bit, than got nero 10, nero cannot play movies on hard drive, try other programs and same thing, when i had xp, nero 9, there were no problems, i think nero 10 does not play...

I have just brought a philips 5520h. 160gb hard disk drive. but i dont know how to record onto a dvd rewrighter. and play back. i had no instructions with the machine.


if you have cyberlink or nero on your desktop double clik on it and select the type of disc either cd or dvd then click on copy if you want to copy but most of the films you buy today are copyrighted so you cant copy them...if you want to burn a downloaded film clik on add files or folders try files then select documents then select downloads then double clik on the film you want to burn and it will load into screen then put in blank dvd then select next then select burn....hope this helps...bonnell

Nrg- files , how to open?


you can only open that file and make the icon file visible to your desktop by downloading cd or iso burner through nero, demon or alcohol. because .nrg files is a image extension file generate through software applications cd and iso image burners.

I have a compaq presario 5000 and it does not play dvd movies. Why not?


You may have a DVD drive in your laptop, but you'll need to have the codec to play DVD movies. You can find DVD playing software on the internet. If you have a DVD burning software like Nero sometimes they come with software to play movies. Google DVD codec and a bunch will come up,

I am trying to burn a disc and bought4.7gb discs single use cd -r i have an acer aspire 5315 but it keeps saying there is no disc in dvd drive to burn i have tryed everything it is driving me mad can you...


some times it is the softwear u r using playing up, if so try using nero 7 as it is more user friendly then nero 8... it could also be ur burner playing up in witch case just trying holding the drive shut while it reads the disk... this can some times solve the problem....

We had a new dvd player installed in our computer and it says that we need a decoder. We have the nero 7 essentials, does this mean we have to pay additional money for a decoder?

What does a TV card look like, to support Nero Vision films to put on hard disk???


To run vision you need:Nero Vision
  • FireWire® (IEEE 1394) Controller for DV capturing
  • USB recording device (web cam)
  • Analog or digital TV card (analog, DVB-T, DVB-S, DVB-C, and ATSC) according to the BDA driver standard
  • DirectShow compatible video capture card (optional)
  • Graphics card with 3D accelerator and at least 64 MB video memory for Smart3D templates
  • Blu-ray/HD DVD Video-Plug-in for playing Blu-ray and/or HD DVD medi
