Question about Microsoft Xbox 360 Console
Hi, just lastnight I went to play Lost Odyssey and after I closed the drive it began to let out a loud grinding noise, like the game disc wasn't being held in place. I put in a dvd movie and it loaded with no problems at all. I then tried 3 different games and the system made the same bad noise trying to load each. It did eventually load Lost Odyssey and seemed to quiet down after a minute but then I took it out and put it back in and same noises plus the "please put in 360 console" message came up. Before these events it had been playing just fine. I am still under warranty and can send to Microsoft for repairs but would like to keep my own system if possible. BTW it is an Xbox 360 Elite. Any help would be appreciated.
Even if it is still playing dvds it might be the dvd-rom drive, usally it spins a game faster than a dvd. Or it could be the harddrive if it was trying to save something. try to download a demo or something to check the hard drive.
