Question about Motorola Mobility Moto Q

1 Answer

Memory overload It appears that my memory continues to get often overloaded and it seems to be related to email attachments. I recieve a lot of pretty good size attachments with my emails. Because I can't figure out a way to understand which attachments came with which emails, if I go into Windows/Messaging and delete the 600 to 700 attachments, then when I go back to look at some of my emails the attachments of the emails that I want to look at again cannot be retreived. I have an SD card but I am concerned if I try to relocate some part of Windows that it will cause me problems also.

Blank screen: screen not showing any data

Hi,
All nokia mobiles operating on Symbian operating system may sometimes hang resulting in a blank screen, if it has some virus infection or overloaded with lot of mutiple simultaneous running applications. It may also be caused due to some incompactible mobile applications.
Solution: Remove the memory card and reset your mobile phone by removing the battery and installing it again.
If your mobile started up, then goto Menu -> settings -> restore factory settings.
If problem still exists then better flash the phone memory (just like reinstallation of phone firmware) by giving to to a nokia service center.
I hope this is helpfull to you

My black jack 2 continues to give me a low storage message

the message means about your internal storage capacity which will be in terms of only MB's!!!!!
change the default settings to store all your contacts, text messages, pictures and videos to your memory card and also move any files from the internal memory to memory card..this will free up the space!!

My t-mobile wing is saying memory is too low to send a mms so how do i delete the 400 messages in my recycle bin so that i can free up some memory?

you have to erase attachments from emails...and clear internet search files....internet explorer....tools...options...memory tab..delete files....to erase attachments...go to file explorer....my device...messaging folder..there will be an attachments folder open and delete those files...and any under the attachments folder erase those..however you wont be able to read any of the already downloaded emails unless you download them again...they are still in your email just not your phone.....good lucc

Have you checked your memory space? If yor running low on memory the phone will automatically delete call logs and possibly messages in order to make more memory available. If you have a memory card installed try moving your pictures and all the other extemporaneous files to the memory card and see if your problem continues.

LG KU990 Viewty Problem

Mine was doing this, think ive found the solution . . .
The internal memory of the phone is probably nearing its total capacity, have u took a lot of pics recently or received a lot of pics? or songs? that are stored on the phone and not on your memory card?
Try deleting some stuff from your phone memory, this fixed mine! no idea why or how, but it did!

Low memory

After deleting all temporary files in EXPLORER (under menu) you can do this. (this freed up at least half of my memory).
Start - Applications - File Explorer - (hit the up button) - Windows - (this takes a moment or two) Messaging. You will now see the attachments folder with one or more files under it. These files are where downloaded messages seem to be stored forever, even if you delete them from all folders in your email accounts. Delete all of these files and then check your memory.

Blackberry Pearl automatically deleting messages

TRY THIS...Press and hold the up/down bottom left key. While holding this down press L then 5 then L then 5 again. an event log will appear now press the menu key scroll down to CLEAR LOG. USING THE TRACK BALL PRESS THE BALL AND DELETE THE EVENT LOG. These are cookies and will destroy your memory which is very small anyway. Do this from time to time and it should solve your problem. Good luck to all......

boot_c_03.08.00r_mpap Paul Sager from FixYa has posted a solution for this problem previousley (as below). I have tried the Motorola and Verizon sites (tried the store as well) and the software is not available to flash the phone. Do you know of a site that would still have it available? Or can this question be sent to Paul to further comment on it? All I want to do is recover the phone numbers, notes and calandar from the phone via Activesync or Windows. Paul Sager 2335 Solutions July 14, 2010 I can help you with your Motorola Moto Q. What has happened is that the firmware of your phone has become corrupted. When this happens your phone will no longer finish its boot sequence. This is a very common situation with many phones: in fact, much of what I do here at Fixya is explain how people can fix their MP3 players, GPS and phones by reflashing the firmware. The good news is that if you take your phone into your carrier's store, they can reflash it for you right there (if they have a competent tech handy.) If you are comfortable with computers etc, you can also do it yourself. Your computer will communicate with and fix your phone, even though it doesn't seem to recognize it right now - I've seen this many many times. My only warning for you is that if you are going to flash your phone yourself, you need to get the correct firmware from motorola's site for your carrier. I just downloaded the Verizon firmware as an example - Motorola's website has about ten different carrier firmwares for their MotoQ phone. I hope that helps.
