PC was working fine with a brand new battery then it stopped charging the battery. Now it won't power up at all even with the ac adapter plugged in. The three green lights go on when I push the power button and that's it.

Hope someone has an idea for me. Thanks!!

I've got the identical problem: my D600 Laptop just shut off, even though I had it plugged into an electrical outlet.

When I push the Power Button to turn it back on, it comes back on for a few seconds, and then shuts off again. Everything is plugged in properly.

So, does anyone know what's going on? There has been a battery recall for the D600, but when I checked the number on my battery to see if it was a part of the recall, it was not.

Do you get any messages or orange blinking lights? Is your adapter fully plugged in (to the wall, at the transformer, in the back of your computer)? Windows XP will put your system in standby when your battery gets to 3% by default and stop using it until you restart the session.

Are you getting any response from the power button? Do the lights flash or anything?

Why my dell latitude D600 notebook battery power goes off soon i start it?

That probably means your battery is bad. I would suggest buying a new one off of amazon. I'm personally not a big fan of e-bay.

My Dell laptop d600 suddenly shut off and will not power back up....led light on adapter blinks when plugged in...I have tried re-inserting RAM modules but this or nothing else seems to work.. thank you...

Unplug your battery and then plug in AC adaptor and see if laptop powers on. I assume you power button doesnt turn on at all? If so, your motherboard seems to have a power issue. Unfortunately, you have to replace motherboard. If laptop. powers on withour battery then you then battery needs replacement.

My dell latitude d600 won't boot even with battery out or in or p

Can you enter to Bios? if it boot and doesnot load to windows, could be your windows is corrupted or your hard drive is died, but if it doesnot boot at all, this could be not enough power.

I have a Dell D600 (PP05L), its not powering up no lights. I noticed on the power adapter the green light goes out when plugged into ac power. What could be wrong here? please help

Hook up your power adaptor to ac power without it being hooked up to the laptop and see if the green light stays on. If it does then you know your adaptor is okay. if your adaptor is only hooked up to ac power and the green light still turns off then you know your ac adaptor is bad.

Take out the battery from your laptop. Now hook up the ac adaptor to the laptop and if it stays green then you know your battery is bad but you also want to make sure you can get your laptop to turn on. Hopefully it will turn on with only the ac adaptor hooked up to it.

Always using battery power

Try removing the battery and see if the laptop works with the AC adaptor. If not either the AC adaptor is bad or the motherboard is defective.

D800 will not even boot

remove the battery from the system and try to power on the System with the AC adapter connected. its only to check whether the system is receiving the power .

Also press the Fn key holding it down press the power button and release both the buttons , look for the LED codes and do let me know abt it
