After trying everything imaginable I found a solution! Just send all of your videos to the "My Videos" folder. Then select the ones you want opn your Mp3, and press "move this file" then plug in your Mp3 player and select the folder with its picture next to it and move it to the VIDEO subfolder. Then voila! its on. (You need to convert the videos to MP4 format beforehand)

How to put a videos from computer 2 USB

You can just drag and drop it to the USB drive.

Insert your USB drive, a folder will open, then drag and drop the video you want to copy, or you can also copy paste the files. Copy the video files you want to copy, then paste it in the USB drive.

Thanks for using fixya!

Don't know how to download videos or pictures to the coby 610

well do you have the drivers for it? if you do, then most generic mp3/mp4 players usually work with programs such as windows media player and etc. just drag and burn the files. there are also illegal ways such as limewire or frostwire if you really need to. also if you like youtube videos, here is a program called youtubedownloader that is a few MB and will download videos to your computer for you to put them on: www.youtubedownloader.com.

if nothing else, try itunes or look at downloads.com for media players.

TRANSFERRING RECORDED IMAGES AND VIDEOS FROM YOUR VPCT700 DIGITAL CAMERA TO YOUR COMPUTER

Connecting the Camera to Your Computer
1. Connect one end of the USB cable to the PC/AV terminal of the camera.
2. Connect the other end of the USB cable to an available USB port on your computer.
3. Turn on your camera.
-The [USB] screen appears.
4. Select [PC] with the Up and Down Arrow buttons, and press the SET button.
5. From the Windows desktop, double click on “My Computer”.
6. Look for a new “Removable disk” icon. This “Removable disk” is actually the memory card in your camera. Typically, the camera will be assigned drive letter “E” or higher.
7. Double click on the removable disk and locate the DCIM folder.
8. Double click on the DCIM folder to open it to find more folders.
-Your recorded images and video clips will be inside these folders.
-Copy & Paste or Drag-N-Drop image and video files to a folder on your computer.

Mac users: Double-click the “untitled” or “unlabeled” disk drive icon on our desktop. iPhoto may automatically launch.

Downloading images and Video Files
When the camera is turned on and connected to your computer, it is considered to be a disk drive, just like a floppy disk or CD. You can download (transfer) images by copying them from the “Removable disk” (“untitled” or “unlabeled” disk on a Macintosh) to your computer hard drive.

Windows
Open the “removable disk” and subsequent folders by double clicking on them. Your images are inside these folder(s). Select the images that you want, and then choose “Copy” from the “Edit” menu. Open the destination location (folder) and choose “Paste” from the “Edit” menu. You may also drag and drop image files from the camera to a desired location.

Macintosh
Open the “untitled” disk icon, and the destination location on your hard disk. Drag and drop from the camera to the desired destination.

NOTE
- Memory card users may prefer to use a memory card reader (highly Recommended).
- Video playback application is not included with the package. Make sure that video playback application has been installed in your computer.

Lost CD-ROM

Cyberlink.com.. this site allows you to download a trial version of the software that comes in the box with the camcorder that you have. The bundle that comes in the box is the Power DVD, Power Director, Power Producer. After 30 days you would have to buy the software. Until then here are a few tips so that you can still enjoy your movies and pics:

Steps:

1. Connect you usb to you computer and camcorder
2. Camcorder ask do you want to playback, backup, create dvd, direct print.... Choose playback
3. Option pops up on your computer.. Select "Take No Action"
4. Go into My Computer and open the E: or Everio_HDD
5. >>For movies- Select SD-Video - Folder PRG002 or PRG001 are where your movie files is located
Drag and drop .MOD files to your desktop **.MOI files are indexes of the .MOD files and will not convert **

>>For Pictures- Select DCIM - Folder 101JVCSO or 100JVCSO - Drag and Drop to desktop - NO FILE CONVERSION NECESSARY

6. Change the file extension to .MPG

** If you find yourself having issues changing the file extension, open my computer... select tools... go to folder options.... un-check "Hide extension for known file types", check it back when your finished if you have kids.. I do for my computer.***

**You are simply creating copies of your files when you drag and drop you movies and pics***

These step will allow you to view back you movies using Windows Media Player until you get your software.

Hope this helps

Can't get the data downloaded to computer

Once this camera is connected to your computer (with the USB cable) it shows up in Windows explorer just like a hard drive. The movies you've taken should appear there in folders and you should be able to drag and drop to copy the folders to your computer.

Uploading videos

You have to have the video taken, and to do this the easiest way, (how I do it) I open the folder for the camera.
(My computer then the place where you pluged the camera in) then I go to the videos folder while in the camera folder, and then drag and drop the videos into ShowBiz.

Hope this helped.
