Question about Brother MFC 420CN All-In-One InkJet Printer
...because of generic ink.
Did you run the machine non stop connected to power or did you use a switch to power it of?
make sure all carts are at full level at first, then
press menu then start b/w copy then fourtimes arrow-up.
machine switches to maintnenace mode (light will flash). press 7-6-4 then start b/w copy. machine will initiate the carts and do some power cleaning. After that press 7-6-3 and start b/w copy. when done press 9-9 to leave the maintnenace mode. do run a test print. If you can see most of the squares again your lucky. otherwise run the written procedure a day later. If there are no squares to see the ph is defective and needs replacement.
