I know panasonic offers the DMW-FL360 flash unit. But I need to create a triangle ligth. I donĀ“t know what I need to buy.

Panasonic says me this: "The DMW-FL360 do not have a slave mode. You could use one DMW-FL360 and get a couple of Slave Flash units to create your light triangle. Panasonic does not offer slave unit, but you should be able to locate them locally or on the Internet".

Let me know if the bottoms lines are rigth:

    1. I have to buy one DMW-FL360. This one are at the camera hot shoe.

    2. I need one or two DMW-FL360 (depends in how many ligths do I need) and install in tripods with a slave units like Wein HS Hot Shoe Slave.

    or

    3. I need one or two digital flash units with a slave units like Wein HS Hot Shoe Slave.

    Thanks for your support.

I can't totally answer your question, but please look to the Olympus fl-36 OR metz 48 af-1--both are 100% compatible. The FL-36 is way less money than the pany equivalent--trust me its the same exact flash as the Pan FL360.. For a little more money, the metz is slightly more powerful, but you loose the "auto thrystor" feature. The oly is a lot smaller as well.

I have the FZ-50 and have used both flashes.

Okay, first off, Panasonic makes several external flash units that work with this camera. The FL360 seems to be the best buy, though at around $300 it is not exactly cheap. It has TTL and I am very happy with mine. I bought a cheap Sunpak to use with my older FZ30 but I think the voltage was too high, as it stopped working with the hotshoe. I would not recommend using any flash that is not rated to work with a digital camera. The problem is, almost all that are currently made are designed to work with specific camera models. So, the Panasonic flashes seem to be the way to go. There is also a FL500, which has a higher guide number, but it is close to $500.

Now, you don't necessarily need FL360s or even digital flashes to work with a slave unit. I have one I picked up at a camera store to use with my Sunpak as a second off camera flash. As long as you have a flash to trigger them (i.e. the built in flash, or something like the FL360) any flash with a slave trigger will work. One other possible solution is a device also made by Wein that allows you to use an older flash with a digital camera. It reduces the trigger voltage and prevents damage to the camera. I have one on order, not to use for that purpose, but because it also allows one to use a plug in flash with a camera that lacks the appropriate place to plug the flash in. I hope that helps.

Hi, this camera is a discontinued product from Panasonic, I doubt you will find someone who would a thing like that. On the other hand, if you have questions about how to shoot, let me know, I´d love to help you .

I have an urgent issue of needing to display date Lumix DMC-FZ50

http://www2.panasonic.com/consumer-electronics/support/Cameras-Camcorders/Digital-Cameras/Lumix-Digital-Cameras/model.DMC-FZ50K for pdf version of manual. The K or S means the color of camera you have...black or silver. My wife has that camera, there is no way to display the date/time on the pictures themselves, you will have to look at the properties of the image. All images now contain certain data that is hard for the novice to change and might be able to be used in certain courts...good luck, hope it's not too late.

Panasonic LUMIX DMC FZ50 Vs. Canon EOS 400D

When it comes to DSLR, Canon scores better than Panasonic. Have a look at dpreview.com for pic samples from both the cameras.
I own a 350D for the last 2+ years. I havent come across any maintenance costs. However, the urge to upgrade is always there :)
