I have Acer travelmate model C302XMi. Yes not the latest, I agree.
Problem. I visit various clients, each with their own Projector.
I sometimes battle to get the projector to find my Acer travelmate.
The original user manuals for my Laptop, do not give any detailed instruction.
Can somebody, give me a couple of options to try, other than buy my own projector, please.
Once you get a given projector to work with your unit, establish a user profile or a hardware profile that will include that device.
Do the same with your other clients and you should be able to store the info under different profiles.
You might name each profile by company name.
Best of Luck

Download the drivers from the Acer WEB site. Make sure youselect the model of your laptop and the XP or Vista version of the drivers youthat require and it matches the Windows version that is installed on yourlaptop. Use this link to get to the Acer support: - http://www.acersupport.com/drivers_download.aspx
The driver's can be found on Acers website Acer Drivers. Scroll to the bottom to: "Or select my product from a list:" Select: Notebook, TravelMate, TravelMate C300. Acer only supports Windows XP on this model according to the driver list. If your running 7, you might have to install the driver through a Windows update.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kH3clgG17v8&feature=related the Hdd is either on the back ..and you have to remove the lid to get to it and get 'em out ..and usually it is written on the lid Hdd and the other ram if it has 2 of them in the back ...or ..for most it is a system like in this video ..Just 2 screws and slide out at the side from the plug .. In both cases is a piece of cake to do the job ...just open the back and get it out..it will have a safety system in a few screws..or it will be at the side and have 2 screws that holds the caddy in place
This is *NOT* a question about an ACER Travelmate LCD display.
The "short" answer is "you cannot", without the proper tools,
namely the tools to physically remove the BIOS chip from the motherboard, and a 'PROM-burner' device, to extract the contents
of the BIOS (about 2Mbits of data), update a few bits, and then
to "program" the updated data back onto the PROM (Programmablel Read Only Memory) chip, and then reinstall the BIOS chip back into your motherboard.
Good luck! Always "experiment" with a "test" motherboard, rather than first goofing-up your "production" motherboard.
you can try changing the output of the travelmate, to VGA Or External Device.
ensure you have the correct output lead from computer to projecter. Then on your keyboard you should have a button that changes the output. i.e numerical 5-6-7 or 8. usually says LCD/VGA et,c.
failing this try altering the output in the systems bios setup.
you can enter this by pressing F2 Or esc at bootup.
if your unsure, and none of this helps, i,d suggest visiting acers site. and downloading the user manual(s)
I?ve had a couple of Dells laptops do this and without fail the cause was flaky touchpad/mouse drivers. I would suggest going to the Acer website downloading the latest drivers for your mouse. If that fails try removing the driver and running with the Windows default drivers, that what I?ve been doing successfully on my company laptops for several years now.
Acer driver download page, the web site is really slow so be prepared for a long wait.
The closest match was the C300 so I?m assuming these are generic drivers for the 300 series. Use the pull down menus and select the following:
-Select Product Line = Notebook
-To the right of that select TravelMate C300 (way at the bottom)
-Make sure English is selected and click on the search button. Once the drivers page opens go down towards the bottom and load for TM C300 touchpad drivers
