Sorry a repitition cuz the previous two solutions were posted by me when i wasn't logged in....Dude.....this hapend to me also...im using a Philips 2GB Mp3 Player....in order to overcome this problem....u will have to store all videos/songs into a different folder...i mean to say that...you have to cut all the files from player to your computer hard disk......after you do that....you have to format the player using Philips(X:)-->right click-->Format.....after you have formatted it....again load all the files in to your mp3 player....i assure you it will work....its not a hardware problem.....its a software problem which can be rectified by formatting the player....

My Philips GoGear MP3 Player is stuck

Been using this for a few months. Froze up on same song while on vacation last month, and continued to play same song on repeat until battery went down. Now is frozen with "Do Not Disconnect" as it was being charged on my laptop. Attempted to unplug and plug back in and Windows gives DO NOT DISCONNECT!!!!!

I am having the exact same problem!!!!!

I tried to epdate so it froze and wont do none

Triple Reset for Philips’ GoGear:

Disconnect the Go Gear from computer. Press the reset pinhole until the player turns off. Hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard. If this pop-up does not appear, reset the player again WHILE connected to the computer. Open the Philips Device Manager, and go to Repair Tab. Reset the player one more time while connected to computer. Follow the repair instructions.

After repair is complete, upgrade the firmware for this player. Will erase all the songs, but you should be good to go again.

Frozen screen

You have to reset the mp3. All you have to do is turn it on and hold the power button for about 15 seconds, or until it shuts off itself. And if that doesn't work you can unskrew the skrews at the back and take out teh battery pack for one second, and put ti right back. That way it would reset on itself and nothing will go missing...

Good luck =)
