I've got an iPod 3rd gen and i'm trying to restore it, but is coming up with an error (2003). Can you help?

Hi joshua4god...

"Try this: I found this solution by one of the other experts here,,.

Turn off your ipod, and hold the home button, and plug it into itunes while still holding the home button until the itunes symbol appears with a cable under it.
Itunes should say "ipod found in restore mode".
Restore your ipod to either a backup of that ipod if there is one, or set up a new ipod.
Setting up a new ipod will fix any previous problem.

My music folder is deleted from my ipod A1236,i can only load my music and vidios but i cant listen from the headset

You should try another headset. If this doesnt work. Restore your ipod. try multiple headset again. Still no luck, your headset jack is probably broken.

Ipod not recognised by computer

Things to do:

- Try connecting the iPod in to different USB ports of the computer.
- Try different USB cable for iPod. If the same problem occur...
- Try connecting your iPod in to diff. computer and see if the computer will recognize the iPod. If connecting it to diff computer gives the same result, then the storage portion of the iPod is no longer working. Send the iPod to Apple Store and see if they could still fix it.

Thank you!

My ipod will play a song, but only the music will come through and not the voice

This is rather unusual as it appears that you are playing your music in 'karaoke' mode on your iPod (but you should still slightly hear the vocals).
Try setting another music equalizer mode such as 'POP' or 'ROCK'.

Outside speakers won't turn off when I put my headset in.

There is a switch inside the iPod Nano headset female jack that is deactivated by headset the male jack when it is plugged in. The switch deactivates the outside speakers. In your case, the switch is not deactivated so you hear sound from both. Three things may cause the problem that you need to check.
  1. You are using a not compatible headset. Make sure headset used is compatible with the unit.
  2. The headset is not properly inserted. Insert the headset firmly and make sure it sit firmly in.
  3. The switch inside the unit is defective. It may be stuck or broken. Disassemble the unit to check the switch. Insert the headset and make a visual check if it hits the said switch and deactivates it. You may need the help of a person with know-how in electronics.

ITouch 2nd g only plays music throuhg left side of all headphones

Try playing with the headphone plug, until you can also hear the right
channel and also try a different set of headphones as it is probably a
matter of an intermittent headphone jack, or plug, owing to sudden
snatching of the headphone plug from same, a very common problem.

Eliminate this cause before submitting your Touch for much more
expensive remedies
