Question about Toshiba Satellite P100 Notebook
I have swopped from vista to xp home but i have no sound ..i downloaded the audio device from toshiba webpage but i got the error message about media driver..is there a problem with my sound card (i hope not) please help :(
I found I had lost my sound and at 1st tought it was an audio based app but later found it was drivers installed via windows update. The only driver that works is the one from the Tosh site for the original hardware. After you have installed the driver run windows update manually and uncheck the line for the sound card update. This is remembered and auto updates does not apply it next time.
