Frigidaire Gallery Model FWT449GF Tub issue

Greetings. I have a Frigidaire Gallery Model FWT449GF Front load washer. The issue I'm having is that, the tub assembly does not remain stable when the machine goes into the spin cycle. What I initially found when I opened it up was that the spring cmae off on the right side allowing the assembly to drop down. I reattached the spring, then ran the machine, but am still getting the out of balanced wobble of the tub assembly. Could the level-shock be bad and causing this issue?

(This model wasn't listed below, so I put in the next best model/brand)

Thanks.

    Hi, guys:

I have the same problem since last week I washed 2 bath mats. This washer, FWT449GF, started a big noise on a spinning (last a few minutes) at the last phase of cycle.

Level and balance is very important for all machines. make sure it is firmly seated on floor and shipping bolts pins and brackets are removed (some have brackets inside.) the machine should be able to evenly distribute the load. finally the shock absorbers could be bad. (seems rare on frigidaire)

What is the height and width of the frigidaire fwt449gf? is there a model the same size to replace it with?

Hello friend, that's a great question!

I have researched your Frigidaire model, FWT499GF, and located the height of your appliance is 36 inches and the width is 26 and 3/4 inches. I hope this information is helpful to you. I did not see a model that would be a replacement in regards to your current washer. You can reach out to the manufacture or manufacture website for any further assistance with locating a new model.

I see that you stated your washer is buzzing and will not agitate. That could be an issue within your motor or control panel I would recommend seeking assistance from a professional to properly diagnose your washer. -Matt

Makes a ticking or clicking noise when dryer is on. How can I fix it? The heat and tumbler still works though.

Hi Lisa, thank you for your post!

Based on the above-listed model number, FEX831CS it shows you have a Frigidaire laundry center. However, you mentioned that it is a gallery series. So do you have a laundry center or a Frigidaire gallery dryer? In order to better address the issue, what is your model number? You can typically locate the serial tag, which lists your model number, on the right or left edge on the inside of the door. How often do you hear the ticking or clicking noise? With this information I can better assist you. Thank you!

Frigidaire gallery series Model GLGH42FS1 stackable washer leaking

see this causes and fix it. God bless you
Water Inlet Valve
If the hose connections are good to the water inlet valve check that water is not leaking from the valve itself it is replace the water inlet valve.

Drain Pump
Check the drain pump housing and all hose connections. The drain pump is down under neath. To disassemble your washer follow the appropiate tutorial. Hoses can be tightened. If hoses or pump housing is leaking replace the pump assembly.

Tub Seal
This is in the center of the tub. The seal is inexpensive but will require some labor to install. Check the tutorials on disassembling the cabinet then remove the agitater and inner tub. Enter your model # above for a diagram or illustration.

FWT445GES1 Washer makes loud banging noises like it's going to explode.

Washer- you need a complete tub and bearring kit. this is a common problem for people who have well water. (also just happens) the rear yoke has become corroded and broken. its a costly repair.

dryer - you would need a new front slider seal. very simple to install.

If you access the bottom panel you can see the shocks mounted from the base of the machine to the tub. you will need to take the top panel off and you can see the springs the are mounted about 1/2 way in at the top and connect to the to off the tub

Banging tumbler during spin cycle

Be certain that nothing got under the rubber skirt, pull it back and look /feel under it .
inside the tub are the large wiper arms solid and not come loose.
open the top access panel (3 screws in top rear )
and open the bottom access Panel (3 screws in bottom front)
Dissconnect power .
Look at the springs and arms that attach to the tub are they secure.
is the large stone concreate slabs secure.
move all these items and push at them all secure?
you can run it while open but the bottom has a switch on front right that has to be closed.

Frigidaire Front Load Door Lock Broken and Noisy FWT449GF

Its looks like a lid switch issue. The switch is inside the washing machine main housing near the door frame. Often you have to raise or open the top or front of the washer to get to the switch. If it's defective, you need to replace it. Good luck!
