Question about Computers & Internet
I sincerely hope one can help me with this one!
about 6 months ago, I had a hard drive failure on my toshiba.
I removed the hard drive and left the notebook opened upside down and it stayed this way for a few months; I really did not bother as I was using a second notebook.
Now I have bought a new hard drive that i want to use with the toshiba and I come across another problem which is that when I power up the notebook, there is activity everywhere but the screen which remain pitch dark and does not even flick.
Can you please give a clue as to what this might be?
Thanks in advance for your help!
Sounds to me as if you disconnected some cable either indirectly or directly leading to your screen. First of all, NEVER leave computer parts lying around to get dust in them. Second, make sure all of your cables are connected, jiggle everything around a little(not too hard!) and see if it works then. And you say that the screen doesn't work as if you haven't put the hard drive in just yet. Have you or haven't you? 'Cause it certainly won't work if the hard drive isn't in yet...
