Bout the best you could do with that board is find another dual core, perhaps an AMD FX70 or FX62. Unfortunately AMD is not keeping up with intel , they sorta failed with the quad core.
If your smart, you'll save till you get enough to jump a couple levels and replace the ram, cpu and motherboard.

Highest model cpu your board can support is the AMD Athlon XP model 3200. This is not a dual core cpu. You would need to upgrade to a newer motherboard in order to use a dual or quad core cpu. Hope this helps.

you can only upgrade to a E2140 or E2180 processor on that motherboard
OR replace the board with a newer type
If you want to work the actual speed for the processor of a dual core take the speed for example dual core 1.8 x 2.1 =3.78 GHz
Core 2 Duo 1.8 x 2.4 = 4.32 GHz
