Question about SanDisk 2GB Cruzer Micro SDCZ62048A10 Hard Drive

2 Answers

Flash drive I sent an e-mail on Friday but no one responded so I don't know if it went thru. I just bought a 4 gig flash drive. I backed up a bunch of my photos on it so I could load my computer up with a new operating system. I did that and loaded the images back on. I went to delete the photo off the flash drive a few days later and my computer won't recognize the drive. I tried it in three different computers. Is there anything I can do? I don't really want to return it since there might be images still on it.

Try the hub on different ports. Can you please tell me all the information (brand, model) so I can give you the drivers?

Your computer may be older that when a 500 gb drive was even thought of, if that is the case you may have to go to the manufacturers support/driver site and download and flash your BIOS to accept the higher GB drives. Most cites have a BIOS updates for their models. Since that information is not included in your explanation, I cannot give you the link, if you want to srite back and include the computer name and model number as well as the operating system, I will try to furnish you with the link for the BIOS update. When you click on the BIOS file make sure the unit has a charged battery and is on AC power.

Mecer wont load wi xp sp2 on 160gig hardrive

Hi,

The BIOS is seeing the drive but your computer can only see about 120-130 GB of harddrive. If the drive has a pin option to limit it's size you may be able to limit it then install windows but if it doesn't you're back to looking for a smaller drive.

Hope this helps

Compaq presario v2414NR, HD acting weird.

They probably never updated the bios, and it's still looking for the old drive, if you get into the bios, you can remove that drive that it's searching for and then make sure that the new drive is being recognised at the 0 position, not 1 but zero, if that doesn't fix it we can go further but that mnmay be the problem, also go into your device manager and make sure you remove the old drive if it's still showing that it is in there. Just uninstall it and restart. the cmos settings should also be cleared by removing the plug and poping out the battery, on the motherboard, it looks like a quarter, it may stll have the old settings stoed in there Good luck, and let us know if it worked

External Hard Drive No Longer Recognized

hey im the same person who just posted above. i went to WD's website, and it said unplug the hard drive from the computer, and unplug it from the power source. then plug it into the power outlet, wait for it to spin up, then plug it in via USB/Firewire, whatever. it worked for me, so hopefully it will work for you.

Stopped working COMPLETELY!!!!

Had same problem.

I wiggled back and forth the part that goes into the USB port and the drive was recognized and I could copy my files onto my hard drive.

I had this problem with a different make USB flash drive and used the same procedure to get the files back.

I think that some connection inside the flash drive works loose after a while.

I am not going to trust these drives for files storage, but only to transfer files.
