if this does not fix the problem

restart you computer tap the f8 key repeatedly to enter safe mode where the only things working will be your keyboard and mouse allowing you an attempt to repair your computer

click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to mice and other pointing devices you might see a yellow exclamation mark ! or question mark ? or a red x
right click you will need to update the driver

click start control panel mouse you should see 4 tabs buttons,pointers,pointer options and hardware under hardware you have options to troubleshoot also you can select properties under driver you will have options to update driver,rollback driver or uninstall also

I have found that the best way to adjust your mouse settings is to create a control panel in your bottom toolbar scroll to the bottom of your screen right click you will see an array of options select the toolbar option then select desktop

then you will see the desktop in the bottom toolbar select the 2 arrows then all control panel items then select mouse this is in WINDOWS 7

in XP you will have to select the new toolbar option once you have that a browse option select my computer then control panel then a control panel option will be in the bottom toolbar

hope this helps

When I type Shift + @, my new Acer computer give me " and vice versa. How may I alter this?

This is probably a different keyboard layout that you used to know.

  1. Click Start , type intl.cpl in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER.
  2. On the Keyboards and Language tab, click Change keyboards.
  3. Click Add.
  4. Expand the language that you want. For example, English (United States).
  5. Expand Keyboard list, select the United States-International check box, and then click OK.
  6. In the Default input language list, click Language name - United States-International (where Language name is the language that you selected in step 4), and then click OK two times.
  7. In the Regional and Language Options dialog box, click OK.

    Notice that the Language bar appears on the taskbar. When you position the mouse pointer over it, a ToolTip appears that describes the active keyboard layout
  8. Click the Language bar, and then click United States-International on the shortcut menu that appears.

    The United States-International keyboard layout is selected.

Define a character array and use strcpy() to copy a string into it. Print the string out by using a loop with a pointer to print out one character at a time. Initialize the pointer to the first element and...

Nice, computer science homework.
int main () { char str[]="this is my string";
//print our string forwards int i = 0; while(str[i]!="\0") { putchar( str[i] ); i++; }
//newline putchar('\n');
//print our string backwards int length = strlen(str); while(length--) { putchar( str[length] ); } }
I didn't test this to make sure it worked, but this is the general way of doing this. It looks like your professor wants you to use pointers. I used pointers here. Do you know how? Arrays are pointers with some syntactic sugar.
I wouldn't rely on sites like this to get answers to your homework. Even if you get the right answer, there's always the possibility of your CS professor finding this answer online and then making your future homework ten times harder.

Arabic font nosupport

During a clean WinXP installation, the Arabic fonts are installed as part of what Microsoft calls
Complex Script fonts. (MS documentation.)

To add Arabic font support to WinXP follow these steps.

  1. Download fbarab.zip from this site.
  2. Extract the installation package from fbarab.zip with a decompression utility.
  3. Run fbarab.exe to install the Arabic keyboard layouts.
  4. Restart Windows.
  5. Load the keyboard layouts:
    1. Click on the Start button.
    2. Click on Control Panel.
      • The Control Panel is directly accessible in the standard Start menu but it is inside Settings in the classic Start menu.
    3. Click on "Date, Time, Language and Regional Options."
    4. Select the "Add other languages" task.
      • Or click on "Regional and Language Options" and select the Languages tab.
    5. Check the "Install files for complex script and right-to-left languages" option and click on the Apply button.
    6. Click Yes when you are asked to restart Windows.
    7. Go to "Add other languages" again and click on the Details button.
    8. Click on the Add button.
    9. Select Arabic in the drop-down list of input languages and select Arabic ASDF Eastern or Arabic ASDF Western in the drop-down list of keyboard layouts.
    10. Click OK as many times as you are prompted to and then close "Date, Time, Language and Regional Options."

For MS Office:

  1. Click on the Start button.
  2. Move the pointer over Microsoft Office Tools in Programs and click on Microsoft Office Language Settings.
  3. Select the Enabled Languages tab, check Arabic and click OK.
  4. Leave your preferred language as it is unless you really want to change it and click OK.
  5. Click OK.
I hope that helps.

What are the arguments uses by c language and types of arguments

The arguments that are passed to a c program are argc and argv, they are passed to main as:
int main ( int argc, char **argv )
argc is a number which holds how many arguments were passed.
argv is an array of arrays which holds the text values of each of the arguments passed to the program.

For example to get the first argument passed to the program you can access it as argv[1] and treat it just as you would treat any char *. Note that argv[0] always contains the name of the program and is not counted in argc.

Hope this helps, and thank you for using FixYa.
