This behavior occurs when an Xbox 360 Hard Drive hardware failure occurs

Turn off the console.

Remove the hard drive. For more information about how to attach or

Reattach the hard drive, and then turn on the console. If the problem persists, discuss replacement options with the agent.

Obtain the latest automatic update for the Xbox 360. To do this, connect to Xbox Live.

If you continue to experience this behavior, contact Xbox Customer Service.
If the agent cannot help you resolve
this issue, you must replace the hard drive. Discuss your replacement
options with the agent.
