Question about Bosch 24 in. SHU43 Built-in Dishwasher

Bosch Dishwasher I currently own a Bosch dishwasher. One of the selling points, if I'm remembering right, of the dishwasher was it was supposed to super heat the hot water that is coming in from the tap. I have 3 problems. We have to rinse the dishes by hand before putting them in the dishwasher, Otherwise they won't come out clean. The dishwasher will run for four hours sometimes longer. It doesn't seem like it is heating the water any hotter than what comes out of the tap.

The water doesn't heat up and it continuously runs. The lights stay lit at the same time on the Regular Wash and Clean cycle. It doesn't progress through the cycle.

Any suggestions on where to get a control board? How hard are they to put in? Do you have any sites I can go to to see the steps needed to install one? Is it worth it on a 10 year old Bosch dishwasher? Thank you for all your help. I appreciate it.

Bosch has discontinued making the front flip tine insert for the bottom rack. I have two broken in my Bosch dishwasher. Can I substitute another manufacturer's part?

A solution to this problem would be to sell me your dishwasher. The law firm for which I work is looking to acquire an old unrepaired Bosch SHU 33 dishwasher for some ongoing litigation. If you (or anyone else with this model Bosch) could send me some details regarding your dishwasher, you may be able simply to buy a whole new dishwasher. My email is JFraser -at- jshlawmi.com.

Thanks!

What is error code 2H

My Bosch dishwasher did the same thing. When the wash cycle starts, the dishwasher fills with water and then the heater is supposed to turn on to heat the water. If the water does not heat, then it will display 2H continuously. The heating element may be bad, but a more likely cause is with the control module. Bosch has a problem with the control module printed circuit (pc) board that powers the heater on many models. The solution requires some technical expertise and soldering skills. The details are explained in the document "Bosch dishwasher troubleshooting tips" on page 11. Download here
Bosch recommends re-soldering the connection, which is a temporary fix. The problem is that the copper conductor (called a trace) on the circuit board is not wide enough to handle the current required for the heating element, and as a result the copper trace overheats, causing the solder to melt on the relay connection. The best solution is to remove the control module PC board and solder a short length of copper wire between the pins to prevent the overheating problem, as shown in the attached photo (magnified portion of PC board). I did this on my dishwasher and it has been trouble-free for over 3 years.

There are a number of parts houses on the web which will gladly sell you the item you need, depending on your location. Repairclinic in the US has these items. Bosch probably sells them direct.

it sounds as though the circulating pump may not be operating. if so fault is often due to the pump capacitor being faulty and this is a cheap part.

Don't. Just attach your hose and the end of the Bosch hose together. Just wind up the Bosch hose and tape it to the back of the machine.
