Sure, if the drain pump have worked four minutes, and the pressure switch has not been reset, then the dishwasher will shutdown all the loads, the alarm buzzer will ring for thirty seconds and the dispaly shows E2. After alarming the dishwasher pause for three minutes than drain water for 60 seconds.
Disconnect completely the dishwasher from power outlet, drain eventual water inside the dishwasher, wait 30 mins or so, then plug back machine into power socket.
If the Delonghi has still problem when you restart it, then probably the pressure switch or the acqua stop device, which start up and stop the drain pump, is probably faulty and need to be replaced.
Basically with codee2, if you get water floods in the dishwasher, is usually the pressure switch or the water inlet valve to be changed.
When no water or very scarce water comes inside the machine, then it is the pressure switch or the aqua-stop switch.
Start testing, and eventually changing the pressure switch , this is often the cause for such problem.

Because it is not the pump, it is the pressure switch or the aqua stop switch.

you need to test them and to change one of them. Probably it is the pressure switch here is the reatil price in uk

There is nothing to reset , and nothing wrong with the pump, do not get confused by Fixya way of working, just change the pressure switch or the aqua switch , servie manual is above.

Very often items will get lodged in the impeller of the pump and cause this problem. This is the part at the front of the pump where the water goes in and out - usually fairly simple to open inspect and clear any debris - often small items - coins washers etc.

Purchased Model # EWDW6505GS from Lowes in Tigard, Oregon today. It was the floor model and did not come with a manual for use and care (I got online) or with a drain hose. Where do I find a drain...

the drain hose for your dishwasher needs to fit the plumbing in your home. Measure the size of the connection at the drain (under the sink) and possible use the old hose as a model for what you will need. Lowes sells a hook up kit but be careful to measure the size of the outlet on bottom of the dishwasher and size and distance to the drain connection. Sometimes addaptors are used to size down the outlet side of the hose. Also if you have the manual it may show the size of the outlet on the dishwasher.

What would cause my dishwasher not to drain?

not sure if you have posted the model number of your dishwasher.

There are several reasons for dishwasher not to drain.

1. faulty drain pump
2. clogged kitchen sink drain
3. drain cycle is not reached due to faulty dishwasher controller
4. clogged drain hose
5. the wash cycle is not completed due to heater not heating water - (try rinse cycle to confirm)

Happy to help if you can provide some details on when the drain cycle is not working. do you get any alarms on dishwasher..etc.

Water is not getting drained from the botom of the machine

Hi,

There are several possibilities as to why water isn't draining from your washer:

1. Blocked drain filter
The filter is usually at the bottom of the wash compartment. You didn't state which model of dishwasher you have, so please refer to your user manual for instructions for cleaning your filter. If you don't have a manual, please post back here with your dishwasher brand and model number for information on cleaning your filter and where to download a manual if one is available.

2. Blocked/kinked waste hose
Check the waste outflow hose at the back of the washer for any kinks or other damage. Also remove the hose where it attaches to your sink (or waste outlet) and check for any blockages both in the end of the hose and at the sink attachment. If there is a lot of dirt in the hose, it may be blocked somewhere further back.

3. Blocked waste disposal / sink trap / waste outflow
Make sure your sink is draining efficiently. Clean as necessary

4. Faulty waste pump
If all of the above check out, you may have a faulty pump. Please post back for further advice regarding this after completing the above checks.

BElectric

run CLR through it
check that the drain hose is clear, did you recently get a new disposal?
check routing of drain hose to disposal, do you have an air gap at the sink before the disposal? is it clear?
hard water deposits?

I have an old Maytag dishwasher, which came with the home we purchased 20 years ago. i am wondering how water efficient it is; it still works, but I also frequently find it with dirty water which has...

It is as efficient as any dishwasher made today. It is also mechanically better than most made today. Keep it running as long as you can.
Under the sink find the dishwasher drain line, using a piece of wire or string tie the DW hose up under the sink so that there is a rise in the hose from the disposal drain outlet. This way drain water will not go back down the hose.

Dishes smell like wet dog hair when cycle ends

There is a product called " Dishwasher Magic " to clean, deodorize, and disinfect dishwashers. Hardware, appliance parts, and possibly grocery stores should carry it. It comes in a rectangular 12 once bottle.
Also, check to see that the drain hose loops up higher than the outlet into the drain so no water will run back into your dishwasher from the drain or disposer.

Why does my washing machine have 2 drain outlets?

This is a water saver or previously known as a suds saver model. The bottom one is the drain. The top one would go to a suds tub. If you set the machine on save, the wash water is pumped out of the top hose into the holding sink next to the washer. The rinse water goes out the bottom hose to the drain. The next cycle you could set the washer to the very beginning of the main wash cycle and the washer would pump the water from the tub back into the washer to be used as wash water for the second load of laundry. Yea, used water. But the first load would be lightly soiled stuff, and the next load would be old barn clothes or play clothes. It was designed to save water (about 65 gallons used for 2 loads vs. 90 gallons) and soap. (now, front load machines with larger tubs would use as little as 25 gallons for two loads.) Just hook up the bottom hose to the drain. Leave the save / drain switch set to drain and you'll be fine. To be extra safe (in case the switch was accidentally set to save) disconnect the wires at the solenoid where the drain hose splits into two at the back bottom of the washer. (right where the hoses exit the machine.)

I, Just got a new washing machine about 2 weeks ago it is a indesit WIB101. The Problem Is That When The washing is finished, the next day it still has 3-4 inches of water left in the bottom of the drum

i bassume the water is coming in after cycle finished. source can be two things.
water valve leaking - not probable on a new machine but to check, turn water off and see if water comes in.
if drain is plumbed into a spigot on the sink trap, when you empty the sink, some of the water will go down the drain hose. to cvure, take the drain hose up in a swan neck as high as possible

Bosch dishwasher model #shu33A

your dirty water backed up into the washer (which it shouldn't do) and probably clogged something in there,..i would recommend getting it flushed out somehow, not sure how,.....next time, your washer drain hose should go up under the sink as high as possible and then back down to drain,....this settup makes it hard for drain water to go back into washer,....it's instructed in any dishwasher manual
