Same with us. Yesterday, the camera worked fine. Today we turned it on and the back screen shows nothing. It seems to take a photo as the flash goes when we push the shutter button. HELP! We are in Italy and have only that camera.

Same problem - sony cyber-shot DSC -W80. The camera has blank screen when powered up but will let me review pictures already taken etc on the screen - bewildered! I can also take new pictures using viewfinder and review them on camera - just won't allow me to see the image before i take photo on the screen.

    Any suggestions??

My DSC-T200 downloads my pictures and video to my computer but I can not see them on my camera.

I have tried to down load the pictures and video to my camera, but they can not be viewed on the camera but reading the card on my computer shows that they are there.
    Thanks
    jm

Sony cybershot t1.picture is distorted looks like a graph

There is a known issue with the CCD (image sensor device) of the DSC-T1 Camera.

Refer this article to confirm this:

http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/news-item.pl?mdl=DSCT1&news_id=161

Check whether the LCD screen of the Camera looks similar as given on the page.

If yes, click on the "Yes" button at the end of the page to create an online Repair Request for sending the Camera to the Sony Factory Service Center.

Until November 30, 2009, Sony will repair, free of charge, where it is caused by the image sensor device.

Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
