Just make a hyperlink, that will call the file you will use or the file that should appear when you click the button..

make sure the button you create has the properties of button.

Is macromedia flash player necessary for opening of html files?

It's not necessary to have Flash to open an HTML file, that's the browser's job. But if there's Flash content on the page, it won't play without Flash installed. You'll probably see a placeholder image where the content would be displayed, and may see an error message.

Can't ope a protected movie error while opening

You may need to reinstall the Flash Player. The copy that you have might have been corrupted.
Try the below task and i am cent% sure it would work.

Do you have jv16 Power Tools installed? There's a link below if you
don't. With that program you can go into Registry Tools > Registry
File Types and disassociate .swf files with Windows by removing it.
http://www.oldversion.com/program.php?n=jv16
You should uninstall Flash Player, they have a utility for that
here:
http://www.macromedia.com/support/fl.../playerfaq.htm
Reinstall the latest version of Flash Player and hopefully it will
automatically reassociate itself with .swf files.

Enjoy the game where name is game... ;)

When i try to open a pdf file from the web it says adobe readere

Alternatively, you can right-click on the link to the PDF file and select: "Save As." Then you can open the file at your leisure, and keep a copy of it for later, if you like, or print it.

How to create link from a button to play video

Put a button on your scene, and give it the instance name but in the Property Panel. Create a new layer in your movie and name it code Now add this code to the first frame of the code layer: but.onPress = function () { _root.createEmptyMovieClip("container", 1); loadMovie("loaded.swf", "container"); container._x = 150 ; container._y = 20 ; }
