Keyboard issues My keyboard isn't keeping up with my typing, it's skipping letters and spaces that I type in. I have to type very slow to make sure every button I press, shows up on my page. I tried taking it apart and cleaning it, but it is still doing the same thing. Do I just need a new one or what?

My Toshiba Satellite laptop was doing the same thing. Mine would skip letters and words, as I was typing (I'm a pretty quick typist) After searching many forums, I finally stumbled upon the remedy myself. I removed the "shadow" from my pointer (it's only function is to make the "pointer" appear to be 3-D)'s in the mouse folder in the control panel. Hope this helps.

A bad chip in the keyboard usually causes this problem. Replacing your keyboard with a new one is the thing to do

There is a program that is bundled with Dell machines called the Dell Media Experience. It runs on startup and has been known to cause issues with keyboards and typing speeds etc..... I found that by turning this off via MSConfig the problems associated with my keyboard went away.
Hope this helps.
Start - Run - MSconfig - Start up - Untick PCMService. O.K and restart.
