Keyboard issues My keyboard isn't keeping up with my typing, it's skipping letters and spaces that I type in. I have to type very slow to make sure every button I press, shows up on my page. I tried taking it apart and cleaning it, but it is still doing the same thing. Do I just need a new one or what?

My Toshiba Satellite laptop was doing the same thing. Mine would skip letters and words, as I was typing (I'm a pretty quick typist) After searching many forums, I finally stumbled upon the remedy myself. I removed the "shadow" from my pointer (it's only function is to make the "pointer" appear to be 3-D)...it's in the mouse folder in the control panel. Hope this helps.

A bad chip in the keyboard usually causes this problem. Replacing your keyboard with a new one is the thing to do

My pad will not type what I press on the keypad correctly

Did you try turning it off and back on, or in the notification area do you see a tiny little keyboard? If so tap on it and choose Asus English Keyboard. Also make sure that the "Use physical keyboard" is marked ON.

Olivetti Lettera 22 skipping spaces

Thje problem with this machine is that you need to use a fast pecking motion when typing. If you press and linger on the keys for too long this will cause an extra space.

Dell Inspiron 1300 Keyboard Lag

There is a program that is bundled with Dell machines called the Dell Media Experience. It runs on startup and has been known to cause issues with keyboards and typing speeds etc..... I found that by turning this off via MSConfig the problems associated with my keyboard went away.
Hope this helps.
Start - Run - MSconfig - Start up - Untick PCMService. O.K and restart.
