Hello,

The characters are printing funny ebcause the daisy wheel isn't alligned properly.

Turn the unit off and remove the daisy wheel.
Check the daisy wheel for any broken or bent hammer arms.
If it is damaged in any way, replace it.

If the daisy wheel looks good, turn the power back on and reinsert the wheel.

Thanks,

Pat

How do i type a percent sign O/O

The keyboard of the typewriter differs from country to country to adjust to special characters used in its language.
In the standard US keyboard the percent sign is in number 5 key. To insert the percent symbol you would use right or left [SHIFT] + number 5 key , provided you are using the standard daisywheel,

Change font size on my bother ML 100

A typewritter is not like a computer. It is a mechanical device, that works by pressing an embossed letter in the daisy wheel through a inked tape into the paper.
The only way you can change either the font type or the font size is by buying and replacing the daisy wheel by another one with different font type/size letters.
To get to know more about your typewritter and accessories that might still be available to it, download Brother ML-100 Typewriter User's Manual
Click on "Go to View/Download Page" and in the new page click the "View/Download" button.
Look for page 16 (last page) of the manual for a list of cassette daisy wheels.

Blackberry Locked Up

Hi there;

Looks like you either forgot your password or not typing the password in correctly. I have done that many times - I found when using the multiple character keybord i was typing the wrong character. Double check what you are actually typing in.

So, the message means the device will reset as in it will wipe all the data to standard settings after 6 attempts.

Just a protection system on BB's. Your device will perfectly fine once your device resets and you can enter a new password :o) but you will loose all the data like emails/txts/calender/notes from the device.

I hope this Helps,

Thanks.

Correcting IBM Selectric II Typewritter correcton ribbon won't engage

Selectric I and II type elements are identical (88 char) where Selectric III uses a different element (96 char). The 88 character element will have white lettering and the 96 character element will have yellow. Directly underneath the lift-up tab to remove the element will be a 3-digit number. That's the last 3 digits of the element's part number, which will be preceeded by 1167 for 88 character, or 1352 or 96 character. For example, if you have a '052" stamped on the element, and it's an 88 character style, the P/N will be 1167052.

The correcting mechanism is an intricate additional function of the backspace function. To test it/adjust it/or repair it requires the machine be hand-cycled using a hand cycle wheel which is screwed into the right hand side operational shaft. It's unlikely that an un-trained party would be successful repairing this..

Can not find the way to ( ' ) and ( ! )

I am not personally familiar with Nakajima AX-150 it’s been over a year since I have seen one. First do you see those characters on the keyboard? If you do but get a different character when you type it? If so, then you likely have either a non-OEM printwheel or possibly a non-English language printwheel. As you see from the samples below every Nakajima brand print wheel has both on those characters.

I have included the link if you have trouble seeing the type faces.
