Video File format not supported on my philips sa6025/97

Hi,
I just bought a philips GoGear sa6025/97 mp3 player. I have a vista laptop and after installing all the required software including Gogear software for vista and Arcsoft media converter(not sure if its compatible with vista but it works) I took a 12 second WMV video which is not a protected file and with the help of the Arcsoft converter I transferred it to my Gogear but on trying to play it, it says File format not supported...I tried the same thing with an AVI movie and an mpg video....after transferring them via Arcsoft converter the GoGear keeps saying File format not supported....What do i do??? Is it a problem with my codec or software or my GoGear player????

Plz help

Non-Supported format detected

Some videos, like music videos, have a copyright protection system on them that will not allow them to play even if you use the converter. You can also go to Philips' website and get the upgrade for your Media Converter - worth a whirl.
