SOURCE: Does not respond to remote control

I have had the T743 for about three years now. The first unit which I got from the local shop was doing exactily like your described after couple of minutes use. Well, I took is back and got a new one covered by the warranty.

Unfortunately I never got any explanation to this problem from my local shop or anywhere else, so I guess the only way is to contact your local shop.

SOURCE: JVC RX-888V hook up to cable box - no video

There is some sort of setting you need to change on the JVC receiver. I had this same problem, and I read the manual and it solved it. You need to press and hold down a button to change the mode. Your unit probably says "TV Sound" right now. Once you press this button (not sure what button) like the manual says, the display should change to "DBS" and then it should work just fne.

SOURCE: The unit does not work

check the standby power supply first and then the main power supply.also check the output transistors and fuses your problem is in one of those points, normally the standby transformer goes bad, it is the small one right next to the big one.
good luck

Why no coaxial fm connector on rx-884-v?

It's only no connector, like TV antenna socket. For coaxial antena cable, just plug it to 75 ohm and ground socket. No need jack/connector.

Can't get my center spkr.to work on my jvc rx 807v receiver

Make sure the speaker is good by connecting it to a known good working site. If speaker is good, make sure it is properly connected to center speaker terminals. Then if it is a surround receiver make sure that the sound mode is one where the middle channel works such as 5.1 DTS, etc. If the center channel still does not work then the problem lies with the decoder chip that is not working properly and sending the center channel info to that specific amplifier.

I have a jvc rx-518v amplifier with a burned out resistor on the imput board (r474) and diode (d474). They are severely overheated and the identifiers are gone, but the rest appears functioning. Any clue...

R474 should be a 18Ohm 2 watt metal oxide resistor part no. QRG022J-180AF
See page 2-9
and D474 is a zener diode part no. MTZ12JC see page 2-8.

My jvc RX-5020 VBK IS NOT WORKING AT MAX VOLUME,ON SCREEN APPEARS OVERLOAD SOUND STOPS AND I HAVE TO TURN IT OFF AND TURN IT ON AGAIN ! WHAT IS GOING ON???

You must be using speakers with lower impedance than what is recommended. This causes the amplifier to over load at high volumes. The protection circuit shuts down the Amplifier to prevent further damage.
And please remember no amplifier is designed to run at full volume, same as a car speed - Even though the speedometer might show max: speed 200Miles per hour would you do it???

Speaker wire for subwoofer

Usually, a subwoofer will have its own built-in power amplifier. Thus, it will be designed to plug into a standard RCA jack (the type used for DVD players, etc). rather than having wires to connect to a speaker terminal block. Look for a jack on the back of the receiver called "Subwoofer", or simply "SW". If your subwoofer has 2 single wires, it WON'T work with your reveiver's subwoofer output, as this output only carries a line-level signal and is not amplified. You would need a separate power amplifier for this type of SW. If your SW speaker has a DVD-type plug, it should work fine with the receiver's SW output jack.
