I understand that your Frigidaire washer is leaving black hole marks in clothing. This could be caused by internal issue with your tub or something could be caught along your tub causing the holes. You may want to look inside of your tub for any visible issues that could cause holes in your tub. You can also use a suck or pair of panty hoses to see if there are any issues with the tub. Place the sock or hose on your hand and rub it along the inside of your tub this will let you know if clothing is getting snagged on anything. If you continue to have issues with your washer I would recommend contacting a professional for proper diagnosis and repair. I hope this is helpful. -Matt
I understand the washer of your Frigidaire laundry center, model# GLEH1642F, is leaving grease in your clothes. I also see that you noticed the grease in the detergent cup. I suggest contacting your local authorized technician for further assistance. They will be able to diagnose your washer and determine where the grease is coming from to be able to repair your appliance. Hope this is helpful.
wipe the inside of the washer with a clean white cloth and see if anything shows up, it may be an ink pin that was left in the wash or a leaking seal that is letting grease enter the washer tube from the washer tub bearings.
Since this happened from day 1, your water may be the problem. Do you have well water? If so, get a softener system. This will get rid of the iron, which is responsible for rust stains. I really doubt that a new machine would cause rust or grease.
Why didn't you do something five years ago when you first noticed this? It will be much more difficult to get a resolution from the manufacturer after5 years.
Marks on clothing in a washer are usually caused by a reaction between detergents and fabric softeners, especially cheaper bargain brands.
If you are sure that the black streaks are getting on the clothing in the washer versus the dryer, it could also be oil from the transmission getting into the washer tub. See if the spots will come out using a petroleum distillate of some kind. (paint thinner, etc). If a petroleum distillate will remove the marks, it is most likely something petroleum based that is making the marks.
This is a rare occurrence, and most marks on laundry are caused by the dryer. Typically, the drum rollers wear out and rubber and metal filings can get into the dryer and mark/streak clothing. Hope this helped and sorry for the problem you are having. Best wishes.
Get a flash light and look very closely at the entire inside of the washer. what you are looking for is a little yellow grease, which is causing this problem. if you find the grease, remove it with a degreaser and you will be fine.
You have to remove and clean the rubber around the front of door, , Snap it back on. disconnect AC to prevent any accidental shock. open the bottom access panel screws on bottom front , open the large filter and be ready for latent water to spill out , have rags ready.
clean the inside of the filter with clorox. finally run a strong solution of clorox when you finish. then rinse well. leave the door open after loads finish the door has a child lock black dot next to lock on door , insert coin and rotate. keeps them from closing the door.
